  • Publication number: 20100075068
Abstract: There are provided a method for imparting a high-durability function to a polymer formed article, which can efficiently impart various function-imparting agents to the polymer formed article, can decrease processing waste liquid as much as possible and recover the waste liquid and the function-imparting agents, can also reuse them as needed, and moreover, can impart the function-imparting agents to the polymer formed article by a continuous system, not by a batch system; and an apparatus thereof. A method for imparting a function to a polymer formed article, which comprises spraying a supercritical fluid to the polymer formed article to firmly fix a function-imparting agent to the polymer formed article.

  • Patent number: 5262470
Abstract: A polyester resin composition;(A) which contains(a) a thermoplastic polyester resin, and(b) a carbon black and/or a graphite, and(B) in which the content of the above component (b) is 0.001 to 2% by weight based on the total weight of the components (a) and (b). The polyester resin composition may further contain (c) a bromine-containing flame retardant, (d) an antimony-containing flame retardant aid and (e) an inorganic filler in addition to the components (a) and (b). This polyester resin composition permits marking of fine lines and precise print with a high contrast with a laser light.

  • Patent number: 5221704
Abstract: A flame-retardant resin composition comprising (A) polybutylene terephthalate, a copolymer comprising at least 60.0% by weight of butylene terephthalate units and/or a thermoplastic polyester blend comprising at least 60.0% by weight of polybutylene terephthalate, (B) a brominated epoxy resin type flame retardant and/or a brominated polycarbonate type flame retardant, (C) a flame retardant assistant composed mainly of antimony trioxide and/or antimony pentoxide, (D) a hydrous basic carbonate compound of magnesium and aluminum, and (E) optionally an inorganic filler. This resin composition has an excellent flame retardancy, balanced performances, and an improved molding processability (flowability, molding cycle, mold-staining resistance and the like), and a staining of metals or a formation of decomposition products and volatile substances is controlled when the composition is used for molding electrical parts.

  • Patent number: 4370302
Abstract: A machine for solid phase polymerization comprises: a system for supplying particles of a synthetic polymer; a reaction system for effecting solid phase polymerization of the particles, fed from the supplying system, under a vacuum and heated condition; and a system for discharging the solid phase polymerized particles. The supplying system includes a pre-treatment apparatus comprising: a pre-crystallizer of a vertical agitator type; and a beater of a horizontal type. The reaction system includes a horizontal reaction vessel having a horizontal rotary shaft with a helically formed screw vane. The screw vane has a multiplicity of small through-apertures, and scrapers extend axially extending between adjacent screw vane portions. Intermediate pots having specially designed vacuum breakers are disposed at locations between the reaction system and the supplying system and between the reaction system and the discharging system.
