Abstract: The picture archiving and communication system (PACS) substantially optimizes a post-scanning command process in accordance with a user-specified priority for further processing a selected set of imaging data that has been collected by medical imaging devices such as a CT scanner and a MRI scanner and stored in distributed storage units on the network. The user-specified priority includes the least response time, the least costs and the least network traffic. The user-specified priority is optionally fixed in some preferred embodiments.

Abstract: A device for generating a medical report by referencing contents that include at least a medical image, to which is attached information indicating attributes of the medical image, the device comprising a storage configured to store a processing for the contents associated with a keyword to be employed in said medical report and the attributes related to contents, wherein the device designates a range of a string descried in the medical report; designates all or a portion of the contents associated with the designated range of the string; by searching the storage part, specifies a processing that corresponds to the keyword indicated by the designated range of the string and the attributes of all or portion of the designated contents; and performs the specified processing on all or a portion of the contents.

Abstract: A radiograph-interpretation supporting apparatus includes an acquisition unit acquiring a data group which includes content data and report data in which link information including first address information for specifying the content data on a first storage device is described, a writing unit writing the content data included in the acquired data group to a second address of a second storage device, and a rewriting unit rewriting the first address information included in the acquired data group to second address information representing the second address.

Abstract: A medical information system has a terminal device of a hospital information system for retrieving and displaying an examination list and a reading report and an image display terminal device for displaying an image. Both terminal devices are arranged to mutually transfer the identification information of an examination to enable their displayed contents to be changed interlockingly. Therefore, medical information, such as charts, medical images, reading reports and results of examinations, required to perform a diagnosis is formed into electronic data and electronic data is displayed on a screen to provide information for a doctor.
