  • Patent number: 11016828
Abstract: A task support system and method improve an operator's handling of an unknown new event. The task support system and method handle an event that occurred in a management target, in relation to an unknown event, and one or more event types are evaluated as event type candidates. A first event type candidate group having a high confidence score among the evaluated event type candidates is extracted and a first candidate confidence score is calculated from each confidence score of each event type candidate of the first event type candidate group. A first candidate importance is calculated from first importance held by an event type corresponding to each event type candidate belonging to the first event type candidate group and information other than the first importance. A diagram corresponding to each event is represented in a coordinate space by using the first candidate confidence score and the first candidate importance.

  • Patent number: 9305072
Abstract: An exemplary information storage system of the present invention includes a plurality of information storage nodes and an administration node. The administration node determines the defined number of information storage nodes for storing the data having the identical content to each of received data. The received data belong to the defined number of categories, respectively. In a case where use of a first information storage node in the plurality of information storage nodes is interrupted, each storage node replicates the data of an identical content to data stored in the first information storage node whose category is pre-associated with a category of the data stored in the first information storage node to an information storage node selected according to a predetermined sequence.

  • Patent number: 8543602
Abstract: Each time the file access request is received, it is discriminated whether there is an ACL which corresponds with the file system of the type following the switching in the file designated by the file access request. In cases where the judgment result is that there is no such ACL, an ACL which corresponds with the file system of the type following the switching is generated on the basis of an ACL which corresponds with the file system of the type prior to the switching which is associated with the designated file, and the ACL thus generated is used to control access in accordance with the received file access request.

  • Patent number: 7640330
Abstract: In a server-based computing environment, an environment that is the same as the environment realized on a server is provided to a user at a place where connection to a network can not be established. A virtual computer is constructed on the server. A client can executes an application program on the virtual computer. When the client is disconnected from the network, data required for constructing the virtual computer are saved in a file and that file is sent as it is to the client. On the client, the received file is used to construct the virtual computer, and work is continued on the virtual computer.

  • Patent number: 7155498
Abstract: In a computer system to which a plurality of computers are connected, a managing computer manages operations performed in the respective computers in an integrated manner, or manages the operations in relation to the computers themselves. As a result, problems occurring in the processes can be easily solved, and furthermore a load on a network is reduced. The managing computer manages a series of operations in an integrated manner in which when an operation is executed by each of the plurality of computers, or by the respective computers in combination with each other, the managing computer performs an operation designated when a specific event happens to occur on a computer. The managing computer displays each of the operations executed on the computers by a symbol; displays an execution sequence of the operations by a link with a direction among symbols; and further displays an execution condition of the computer by a color of a symbol.

  • Patent number: 7136918
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for monitoring a computer system in which one manager computer is connected to a plurality of agent computers over a network. The manager computer sends information on the types of log to be collected to the plurality of agent computers. In response, the plurality of agent computers collect the specified types of log. Then, the plurality of agent computers send the collected logs to the manager computer. Thus, the plurality of agent computers are able to collect the types of log specified by the manager computer.

  • Publication number: 20050273845
Abstract: If a notebook computer is used with its e-key device inserted in it, it is likely that the e-key device remains inserted in it even when the user carries the notebook computer. In case such notebook computer is left behind or stolen, both the notebook computer and the e-key device are lost or stolen together and it may be possible for the thief to steal information stored in the computer. When the user calls for standby, log-off, or shut-down operation, a message “remove the e-key device” is displayed on the screen and log-off or shut down is disabled until the e-key device is removed. This ensures that the e-key device is removed (when carrying the notebook computer) after log-off or shut down. The risk in which both the computer and the e-key device are stolen together is reduced overwhelmingly.

  • Publication number: 20040093254
Abstract: A delay factor in a processing in a job system in which an ordered series of jobs are executed in computers assigned to respective jobs, is efficiently detected, and the delay factor is analyzed in detail by associating it with load information of the computers and a network. An administrative manager computer 201 collects a history of executing a job from each job executing computer 202, and refers to a history of each job, one by one from a job executed later to a job executed earlier, until no delay is detected in a job, for judging a cause of delay in each job. Further, with respect to a job in which delay is detected, load statuses of the other jobs or applications in the computer in which said job is in execution are compared with said job and displayed.
