  • Publication number: 20050171628
Abstract: An embroidery data producing device reads an image composed of a plurality of areas to produce embroidery data including sewing data for filling each area with stitches and underlying stitch sewing data for carrying out underlying stitch sewing for each of the areas. The embroidery data producing device includes a synthesized outline data producing unit which produces data of a synthesized outline defining an outline of a synthesized area formed by synthesizing a part or all of a plurality of the areas and an underlying stitch sewing data producing unit which produces data of underlying stitch sewing based on the synthesized outline data.

  • Publication number: 20050165506
Abstract: An embroidery data producing device includes an offset line producing device for producing data of an offset line obtained by offsetting an outline defining an embroidery area inside an embroidery area by a previously set offset width, based on data of the outline defining the embroidery area, a self-intersection or mutual intersection detecting device for detecting a self-intersection of the offset line produced by the offset line producing device or a mutual intersection of the offset line and the outline, and an offset line changing device for changing the offset line data produced by the offset line producing device upon detection of a self-intersection or mutual intersection by the self-intersection or mutual intersection detecting device so that the self-intersection or the mutual intersection is dissolved.

  • Patent number: 6237516
Abstract: In a sewing machine having a display, a data reading device reads sewing data of partial patterns which, when combined, form an entire pattern and attaching position data representing a predetermined attaching position of the work cloth holder to the moving device corresponding to each partial pattern, a display controller also displays attaching position information, representing each attaching position corresponding to each partial pattern based on the attaching position data read by the data reading device, on the display.

  • Patent number: 5911182
Abstract: When a handy scanner 8 reads a standard sewing designation mark 45 drawn in advance on a work sheet 39 held by an embroidery frame 34, the sewing data on an embroidery pattern to be sewn can be edited so that the position and direction and the pattern size at the time the embroidery pattern is actually sewn on the work sheet 39 correspond to the position and direction and the pattern size indicated by the standard mark 45. Accordingly, the sewing data can be simply edited only if the work sheet 39 is set in the embroidery frame 34, without manual operations, resulting in a large improvement of the efficiency of sewing work.

  • Patent number: 5865134
Abstract: A sewing data converting device includes a storage means for storing sewing data used in one embroidery machine for executing a sewing operation including an embroidering operation. The sewing data is converted into another sewing data used in another embroidery machine having a data format differing from one of the one embroidery machine. Display data for the converted sewing data is originated so that the display data corresponds to a display format of the another embroidery machine.

  • Patent number: 5831858
Abstract: Disclosed is a data converting device for an embroidery data processing device which is capable of reading/writing data with use of a removable memory card. The data converting device has a connector connectable to a receptacle of the memory card provided on the embroidery data processing device. The data converting device reads data stored in an optical disk and converts a data structure and stores the converted data in a memory provided therein such that the data structure in the memory is similar to the data structure in the memory card.

  • Patent number: 5450804
Abstract: A lock stitch machine capable of being selectively set for either an overcasting mode or a hemming mode. A needle plate tongue is shifted between an operative position and an inoperative position in a region separated from the operating region of the looper, along a path substantially resembling a circular arc for a vertical displacement and a horizontal displacement greater than the vertical displacement, by turning an overcasting width adjusting knob which turns a control shaft. Thus, the needle plate tongue can be shifted between the operative position and the inoperative position regardless of the position of the looper thereby facilitating the stitching mode changing operation.

  • Patent number: 5231941
Abstract: Stitching data for embroidery patterns and identification data are stored in ROM of the embroidery ROM card. Stitching data for stitching patterns except embroidery patterns, such as figure patterns or point marks, are stored in ROM of another ROM card. If the card key is operated, it is determined whether the embroidery device is installed on the sewing machine or not, whether a ROM card is installed in the sewing machine or not, and whether the installed ROM card is a ROM card for embroidery or not. If at least either one of the embroidery device or a ROM card is not installed on the sewing machine, or the installed ROM card is not a ROM card for embroidery, warning is given to an operator.
