  • Patent number: 7680931
Abstract: In a service system including client apparatuses for issuing a service request and server apparatuses for receiving a service request and providing service, there is provided a data relaying apparatus for relaying data communication between them. In response to a service request, the data relaying apparatus establishes a connection from the client apparatus to the server apparatus (destination). The data relaying apparatus relays data communication between the client apparatus and the server apparatus by using the established connection. The data relaying apparatus manages a number of connections established to each of the server apparatuses. In response to a service request, the data relaying apparatus accepts or refuses the service request so as to make a number of connections to the server apparatus equal to or less than a predetermined number, and notifies a user refused relaying of a service request that relaying is possible.

  • Publication number: 20080215767
Abstract: In an environment where there is a possibility that the user connects from a plurality of blade PCs to the storage, the present invention prevents the data destruction by realizing the exclusive control of the storage device. The storage connection from a blade PC which was possible to connect until now is made to be impossible by that the management server newly generates and sets to the storage device the connection information between the storage device which the blade PC keeps. Further, by sending the newly generated connection information to the other blade PC the connection from that blade PC becomes possible.

  • Publication number: 20080209041
Abstract: A management device selects a storage device having a plenty of unallocated storage regions, selects a target using a port having a small allocation quantity from the storage device targets, and allocates the target, an initiator, and a storage region. When the number of targets and the allocated storage regions prepared by the storage device is within a predetermined number, the storage device manages the storage device as an allocation candidate. When the predetermined number is exceeded, the exceeding one is excluded from the allocation candidate. When the number of storage devices excluded from the allocation candidate has reached a certain number, the management device manages a new storage device and a new storage region as an allocation candidate.

  • Publication number: 20080104683
Abstract: An information processing system has an information processing apparatus and a terminal that are coupled to each other through a network. The terminal has an address acquiring unit that reads storage information of a portable storage medium used by a user of the terminal to acquire the address of the information processing apparatus that is a utilization allocation destination of the terminal that is included in the storage information, and stores the data of the address in a memory. A connection is established between the information processing apparatus and the terminal through the network. A remote controlling unit transmits operating information input at an input interface of the terminal to the address of the information processing apparatus and receives video information corresponding to the operating information from the information processing apparatus to display the video information on an output interface of the terminal.

  • Publication number: 20080092217
Abstract: An environment migration system set, as a utilization environment of a terminal, a utilization environment of another terminal in an information processing apparatus when the terminal utilizes the information processing apparatus through a network. A connection is established through a network between the information processing apparatus and the other terminal in accordance with response data returned from the information processing apparatus. A utilization environment transmitting unit extracts data of the utilization environment of the other terminal and transmits it to the address of the information processing apparatus. The utilization environment data received from the other terminal is then stored into a storage apparatus as the utilization environment data of the terminal.

  • Publication number: 20050138626
Abstract: The request from the client to the server is made through the traffic control apparatus. The traffic control apparatus includes a unit for controlling the request from the client, a unit for judging the data reception performance of the client and a unit for controlling the number of clients simultaneously connected to the server. The number of simultaneous connections in the server is controlled so that the resource of the server can be utilized sufficiently and the requests in number exceeding the performance of the server cannot be transferred. When it is expected that it takes time longer than a fixed time to provide the service to be required to the client, the request is rejected and when it is expected that the service can be provided within the fixed time, the request is received.

  • Publication number: 20050102400
Abstract: A load balancing system having a plurality of service servers and a load balancer which prevents a service performance from being reduced by an overload of requests on the service servers. The system includes a load balancer and a administration server, the load balancer outputs an access log relating to an access to the service server, and the administration server performs statistical operation over the access log. The administration server prepares a service server run schedule on the basis of a result of the statistical operation and informs the load balancer of it. The load balancer controls distribution of a request to the service server according to the informed run schedule.
