  • Patent number: 6820200
Abstract: An application program that was encrypted by using a predetermined secret key is input to an input section that is a part of a program execution system, and encrypted sentences as the encrypted application program are supplied to a decoding section as they are. The decoding section is supplied not only with the encrypted sentences from the input section but also with a publicized key corresponding to a secret key that was used in generating the encrypted sentences. The decoding section decodes the encrypted sentences by using the publicized key and supplies Java byte codes as a decoding result to a Java virtual machine. The Java virtual machine interprets and executes the Java byte codes that are supplied from the decoding section.

  • Patent number: 6647495
Abstract: In an information processing apparatus and method, an application program that was encrypted using secret key-A is supplied to a decoding section 82, and publicized key-B and an encrypted publicized key-A (corresponding to secret key-A) that was encrypted by using secret key-B corresponding to publicized key-B are supplied to a decoding section 84. The decoding section 84 decodes the encrypted publicized key-A by using publicized key-B and supplies a resulting publicized key-A to the decoding section 82. The decoding section 82 decodes the encrypted application program by using publicized key that is supplied from the decoding section 84 and supplies Java byte codes as a decoding result to a Java virtual machine 83. The Java virtual machine 83 interprets and executes the Java byte codes that are supplied from the decoding section 82. As a result, it becomes possible to allow only programs developed by a legitimate software developer to be executed in certain program execution environments.

  • Patent number: 6085256
Abstract: A cyber-space system comprising one or more cyber-spaces for providing predetermined information, and user terminals for receiving provision of the predetermined information by accessing the cyber-space, wherein the cyber-space includes information objects for providing information to the user terminals, user objects corresponding to the user terminals, and a conversion object disposed between the information object and the user object, and capable of converting a terminal manipulation message from the user object into an information access message and supplying the converted message to the information object. The conversion object is further capable of converting an information content message from the information object into information corresponding to the capacity of the user terminal and providing the converted information to the user terminal.

  • Patent number: 5815156
Abstract: An interactive picture providing method comprising the steps of preparing, in a server, three-dimensional pictures of a virtual reality space from predetermined positions; supplying data of a position in the virtual reality space from a user terminal to the server via a network; providing a picture of the virtual reality space corresponding to the position from the server to the user terminal via the network; providing, from the server to the user terminal, a part such as a background of the picture seen from a predetermined position in the virtual reality space; generating, in the user terminal, another part such as a foreground of the picture seen from the specified position in the virtual reality; and compositing and displaying, in the user terminal, the picture generated in the user terminal and the picture provided from the server. According to this method, efficient generation of pictures is achievable, and a high-definition picture can be provided to each of the user terminals at low cost.
