  • Patent number: 6867214
Abstract: A quinazoline derivative having formula (1) and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof: wherein the ring A represents an aryl group, which derivative has a chymase inhibitory activity and suppresses the exacerbation of vascular permeability induced by chymase, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same as an essential ingredient. These compounds are useful for treatment of allergic diseases, rheumatic diseases, and cardiac and circulatory system diseases which are due to the abnormal exacerbation of Angiotensin II production.

  • Publication number: 20040243013
Abstract: A sleepiness level detection device detects a heartbeat signal when a time equal to or longer than T1 and equal to or shorter than T2 has elapsed since the start of driving. The heartbeat signal is subjected to FFT processing to obtain a spectrum signal. By use of a peak frequency of the spectrum signal, a driver conscious-state peak frequency is estimated. A consciousness level index band &agr; is set with respect to the conscious-state peak frequency. A sleepiness level index band &bgr; is set with respect to a frequency, which is calculated by multiplying the conscious-state peak frequency by a predetermined ratio (65 to 90%). A sleepiness level evaluation parameter Sp (=&bgr;p/(&agr;p+&bgr;p)) for indicating the sleepiness level of the driver is calculated with the use of the strength &agr;p and &bgr;p of spectrum signals.

  • Patent number: 5958228
Abstract: An apparatus for producing a mineral water is provided with a mineral source having a mineral element containing a soluble mineral component. Plain water is supplied to the mineral source. The mineral component dissolves in the plain water when the soluble mineral of the mineral element is brought into contact with the plain water. Ultrasonic waves are applied to the mineral source by an ultrasonic source. The conditions for applying ultrasonic waves to the mineral source is controlled to prepare a mineral water which contain mineral component according to a user's requirements or liking.

  • Patent number: 3990096
Abstract: The disclosed semiconductor luminescent device comprises a semiconductive body including a first semiconductor layer formed of a first semiconductive material and sandwiched between a second and a third semiconductor layer formed of a second semiconductive material having a resistivity higher than that of the first material by two orders of magnitude or more. Each of the first, second and third layers includes an n and a p type region. A first and a second electrode are connected to the p and n type regions of the first layer with low resistances respectively. Light is efficiently emitted from the first layer.
