    Abstract: A pedestrian airbag apparatus received in a storage portion of a vehicle between a left front pillar and a right front pillar. The pedestrian airbag apparatus includes an air bag and an inflator. The airbag protrudes from the storage portion when an inflation of the air bag is started and includes a traversal inflation portion that is formed in a generally rod-shape extending along a left and right direction of a lower portion of a front wind shield which is arranged on a rear side of the hood panel in a state where the inflation of the air bag is completed, and two longitudinal inflation portions that are formed in a shape extending rearward from both ends of the transversal inflation portion in the left and right direction to cover front surfaces of the left and right front pillars.

    Abstract: A pedestrian protection airbag device is mountable proximate to a rear end of a vehicle hood. An airbag includes a horizontal inflatable portion deployable over a lower region of a front windshield and a pair of vertical inflatable portions extending rearward from opposite ends of the horizontal inflatable portion for covering front surfaces of front pillars. The horizontal inflatable portion includes an upper reach region that is deployable at a front region thereof and a lower reach region deployable at the rear of the upper reach region. A gas outlet region is provided at the rear edge of the upper reach region and inward relative to the vertical inflatable portions in a left and right direction as inflated, such that an inflation gas having flown out of the upper reach region via the gas outlet region flows through the lower reach region and then flows into the vertical inflatable portions.

    Abstract: A power LED lighting assembly includes power LEDs (each 1 watt, for example) mounted on a small circuit board of aluminum. To promote air ventilation, the LED circuit board is provided with air openings to communicate with the heat sink. A heat sink enclosure for accommodating the heat sink is also provided with air openings to communicate with the surrounding atmosphere. A micro fan is fixed above the heat sink for forced air ventilation. A temperature sensor is also installed to sense abnormal temperature increases in the assembly to adjust or reduce the volume of light and protect LEDs against abnormally high temperature. The micro fan is turned on for heat release automatically on a temperature increase.
