  • Publication number: 20260175721
Abstract: An electrical circuit arrangement includes a traction battery, electrical connection for electrically coupling to a vehicle-external electric unit, and first and second high-voltage potentials. The circuit arrangement has two electric drive units each having an inverter and an electric three-phase motor electrically coupled thereto for driving the vehicle. The circuit arrangement is configured such that the two electric drive units can be electrically connected in series between the electrical connection and the traction battery such that the first electric drive unit increases the first high-voltage potential and the second electric drive unit increases the second high-voltage potential from the electrical connection to the traction battery. The inverters each have a capacitor between a potential line of the first high-voltage potential and a potential line of the second high-voltage potential.

  • Patent number: 12422464
Abstract: An insulation monitor for a high-voltage onboard electrical system of a motor vehicle is provided. A respective Y-capacitor is arranged between the positive potential and the vehicle earth and between the negative potential and the vehicle earth. The insulation monitor has a current or voltage source, a voltmeter for measuring at least one of the potentials, and is configured to apply a negative current by the current source when the potential measured by the voltmeter exceeds a predefined upper value and to apply a positive current by the current source when the potential measured by the voltmeter falls below a predefined lower value. The current thus being limited to a maximum permissible contact current in the case of an insulation fault and it is possible to infer the magnitude of the insulation resistances using the voltage measured by the voltmeter and the recharging current that has been fed in.

  • Patent number: 12397654
Abstract: A component arrangement for an electric high-voltage on-board power supply of a vehicle includes a shared EMC filter, a shared intermediate circuit, a plurality of electrical components, and a shared housing. The shared EMC filter and the shared intermediate circuit are provided for the plurality of electrical components. The plurality of electrical components are disposed in the shared housing together with the shared EMC filter and the shared intermediate circuit. The plurality of electrical components are interconnected in parallel with the shared intermediate circuit and the shared EMC filter and there is otherwise no electrical connection between them.

  • Publication number: 20250015700
Abstract: A direct current converter includes a plurality of direct current converter modules having electrical input voltages and output voltages that differ from each other. The plurality of direct current converter modules are electrically connectable to one another to form a plurality of subsystems such that a high-voltage electrical voltage is convertible into different low-voltage electrical voltages. The plurality of direct current converter modules are configured as a shared integrated assembly. At least one of the plurality of subsystems is always active.

  • Publication number: 20240343120
Abstract: A vehicle electrical system for a motor vehicle includes a high-voltage battery for providing a positive potential and a negative potential and a high voltage load. An insulation monitor monitors insulation resistances to a vehicle ground galvanically isolated from the vehicle electrical system. Between the positive potential and the vehicle ground and between the negative potential and the vehicle ground, a Y capacitor is provided in each case. A voltage center tap between the positive potential and the negative potential, which voltage center tap is present in the vehicle electrical system or in a component of the vehicle electrical system, is connected to the vehicle ground by an ohmic coupling resistor.

  • Publication number: 20220250493
Abstract: An on-board charger for charging a high-voltage battery of a high-voltage on-board electrical system or a low-voltage battery of a low-voltage on-board electrical system includes a first DC converter which has a transformer having a primary side and a secondary side where the high-voltage battery can be supplied with a first DC voltage via a first circuit of the secondary side of the first DC converter. The low-voltage battery can be supplied with a second DC voltage via a second circuit of the secondary side. A control unit activates either the first circuit or the second circuit of the secondary side of the first DC converter. For operating the low-voltage on-board electrical system by the high-voltage battery, the first DC converter is configured such that the first DC converter converts a battery voltage of the high-voltage battery into the second DC voltage in the second circuit of the secondary side.
