  • Publication number: 20080047617
Abstract: A hydraulic control apparatus includes a valve case, a spool, a control orifice, and a pilot valve. The valve case includes a hydraulic fluid input port, a hydraulic fluid output port, a pilot fluid supply port, and a pilot fluid discharge port, and the valve case internally has a pilot fluid supply chamber and a pressure control chamber communicated with the supply port and with the discharge port. The pilot valve is connected to the discharge port to allow and prohibit discharge of pilot fluid through the discharge port. The spool prohibits communication between the supply chamber and the pressure control chamber when the spool is actuated in accordance with a drop in pressure of pilot fluid in the pressure control chamber. The spool allows the communication when the spool is actuated in accordance with a rise in pressure of pilot fluid in the pressure control chamber.

  • Patent number: 7325639
Abstract: A fender assembly is divided into an upper fender and a lower fender with a air guide port being formed in the upper fender wherein the entry of muddy water splashed up in a tangential line direction by a front wheel into the air guide port is prevented and the size of the upper fender is reduced. An upper fender is secured to upper forks of the front forks, while a lower fender is secured to lower forks. The upper fender is disposed in a range in which muddy water is blocked by the lower fender. An air guide port is formed in the upper fender and an air guide path is formed by a fender recess extending forward of the air guide port and a lower portion of a visor which covers the fender recess from above.

  • Patent number: 7267190
Abstract: To efficiently arrange a plurality of batteries in a large-sized electrically-driven vehicle. An electrically-driven vehicle includes a vehicle body frame including a head pipe for supporting a steering shaft, upper frames which project in the vehicle-body lateral direction therefrom and extend in the rearward direction, lower frames, and rear frames which are connected with the lower frames. The vehicle body frame is configured in an approximately U-shape as a whole in a side view. In a space which is surrounded by the vehicle body frame, a plurality of batteries are arranged like stairs in parallel in the vehicle-body longitudinal direction along the approximately U-shape of the vehicle body frame.

  • Publication number: 20070075283
Abstract: A valve apparatus includes a valve body, a seat member, an oil supply port, a movable valve, and a pilot communicating member. The seat member is fixed to the valve body and defines a bleed chamber. The oil supply port supplies oil to the bleed chamber. The movable valve is slidably received in the valve body, wherein the movable valve is displaceable based on a pressure in the bleed chamber, and the movable valve blockades the oil supply port in a state, where the movable valve contacts the seat member. The pilot communicating member provides communication between the oil supply port and the bleed chamber in the state, where the movable valve contacts the seat member. The pilot communicating member includes a slight clearance changing member that increases a degree of the communication when a temperature decreases, and decreases the degree of the communication when the temperature increases.

  • Publication number: 20050284141
Abstract: An exhaust gas purifying apparatus is provided for a motorcycle, configured to minimize engine output characteristics, and to raise the temperature of a catalyst to an activation temperature rapidly after a start of the engine, while not increasing a vehicle body size. The motorcycle includes an engine in which a cylinder block is extended upward on a crankcase. An exhaust port is provided on a front portion of the engine; an exhaust pipe extends forward of the engine from the exhaust port, then extends downward once, and thereafter, extends toward the rear of a vehicle body. A catalyst is placed in the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe passes along a side of the cylinder block, and the catalyst is placed in the exhaust pipe in a position located on the side of the cylinder block.
