  • Publication number: 20100033738
Abstract: A print processing device including a printing unit to print an image on a sheet, a reading unit to read a sheet, an operation unit including keys to be operated by a user, a print control unit to cause the printing unit to print either a first sheet for selecting an image from a plurality of images stored in a storage medium or a second sheet for selecting a language to be used in the first sheet, and an analyzing unit configured to analyze an image read by the reading unit. If a language is not registered, when the image corresponding to the second sheet is detected as an analysis result by the analyzing unit, the first sheet is printed using a language associated with the detected image and when the image corresponding to the second sheet is not detected, the second sheet is printed.

  • Patent number: 7520584
Abstract: A recording apparatus records an image by relatively moving a recording head with respect to a recording sheet. When a recording sheet is conveyed by rotating a LF roller in accordance with recording operation at the recording position during the recording of a current recording sheet, it is determined whether or not recording for a next recording sheet is necessary. In the case of that recording for the next recording medium is necessary, the next recording sheet is fed by rotating the feed roller for the amount corresponding to the conveyance distance by rotation of the LF roller, in synchronization with the conveyance of the current recording sheet by rotation of the LF roller.

  • Publication number: 20070195362
Abstract: A procedure that confirms the presence or absence of support for standardized capabilities is present in transmissions to an image-providing apparatus having a photo-direct print capability and an image-printing apparatus, for example. The procedure is used to exchange information relating to the presence or absence of support for a service that provides a cooperative capability separate from the standardized capabilities, making it possible to use non-standard capabilities while maintaining compatibility with devices that do not support the service that provides the cooperative capability separate from the standardized capabilities.

  • Publication number: 20060039021
Abstract: According to a print system, a printer supplies function information of the printer to a DSC based on a communication link between the DSC and the printer, and the DSC establishes a UI based on the supplied function information to display it on the DSC. The DSC converts image data of an image file according to print conditions set up based on the UI and the function information of the printer and transmits the converted image file to the printer.

  • Patent number: 6969141
Abstract: In the ink jet recording apparatus, while the formation of an image on the present sheet is in progress, the remaining length-to-rear end Le between the point at which the presence of the sheet is detected by the sheet detection sensor to the rear end of the present sheet and the remaining recording time Tr from the present time point to the time point at which the formation of the image on the present sheet is completed are measured. Further, in the apparatus, the sheet for the next page is supplied from the feed sheet unit when it is found that that the formation of the image on the sheet for the next page is necessary, that the remaining length-to-rear end Le is less than the reference remaining length-to-rear end Lr, and that the remaining recording time Tr is less than the reference remaining recording time TrR.

  • Patent number: 6747426
Abstract: A motor control apparatus has a motor driver for driving a motor in accordance with an input of digital-format drive data of a predetermined length, thereby driving a mechanism using the motor as a power source. The drive data, which has been made to correspond to a plurality of drive patterns, is stored in a memory, part of the drive data, which has been read out from the memory by DMA, is replaced with other data, and the resultant data is output to the motor driver. Thus, different drive data can be generated by replacing a part of the drive data stored in the memory with other data, and the generated data can be transferred to the motor driver. This makes it possible to reduce the memory capacity needed for motor control.
