  • Patent number: 7746323
Abstract: A 5-direction key operating device is provided in which the structure of diaphragm contacts disposed on a printed circuit board is improved to allow five diaphragms to be disposed in a minimum space, and a single button key is enabled to operate the five diaphragms. Moreover, a 5-direction key operating device is provided in which an operation space can be reduced, and desired one of information displayed on a display section can be selected and determined by a smooth key operation without causing an erroneous operation. In each of diaphragm contacts on which diaphragms (4) that are arranged in the shape of a cross in correspondence with 5-direction keys are to be placed, a circular contact (1) which is a first contact, and strip-like contact portions (3a to 3d) which are elongated in a fan-like shape with respect to the center of the first contact (1) are disposed in a second contact (2) and in the side opposite to the side of the first contact (1).

  • Patent number: 6842626
Abstract: A portable cellular phone comprising a case body and a sliding cover is disclosed. The case body includes an operating section and stopper portions. The sliding cover covers the operating section of said case body and is slidably supported on said case body. The stopper portions of the case body restrict a sliding range of said sliding cover. The sliding cover is mounted and detached with respect to said case body by applying an outer force to the sliding cover in a direction perpendicular to a sliding direction when the sliding cover is positioned at a specific position within the sliding range. When the sliding cover is mounted, one of locking portions of the sliding cover is engaged with one of locking portions of the case body, and the other locking portion of the sliding cover is aligned in position on the other locking portion of the case body. The sliding cover is fit to the case body by applying an outer force.

  • Patent number: 6643529
Abstract: By providing pressing parts and a transmitting opening part to a cover for covering a key operation part and a transmitter of a housing by sliding, the key operation and the communication in carriage and in ten key operation are enabled, respectively. Moreover, the pressing parts can press different keys in carriage and in ten key operation. Locking nails are provided at the tip of a bowl-like shape, elongating form the end of the cover so that the locking nails are engaged with locking parts for locking with respect to the housing both in the carriage state and in the ten key operation state.

  • Patent number: 6375283
Abstract: There is provided a radio device housing, without the risk of causing deterioration of the mechanical strength and the rigidity of the housing with respect to bend or twist deriving from a small size and a thin shape of the radio device main body. First ribs are provided in either an upper case or a lower case on the entire periphery along the joint surface of the upper case and the lower case. A plurality of fitting nails are provided in either the upper case or the lower case for holding and fixing with each other. Second ribs are provided in the rifts in the case not having the first ribs. Third ribs are provided on the fitting nails and the second ribs for contacting the upper case and the lower case when they are fitted with each other so that they are not displaced in the thrust direction with each other.

  • Patent number: 5903132
Abstract: A battery holding apparatus holds a battery pack on a battery mount of an electronic device such as a portable telephone. The battery holding apparatus includes a holding member and a hook assembly. The holding member is provided on a first end of the battery mount and has formed thereon a claw fitted into a first recess formed on a first end of the battery pack. The hook assembly is provided on a second end portion of the battery mount opposite to the first end thereof and includes a spring and a protrusion. The protrusion is urged by the spring pressure produced by the spring into constant engagement with a second recess formed in a second end of the battery pack opposite to the first end thereof so as to split the spring pressure into a horizontal pressure and a vertical pressure. The horizontal pressure urges the second end of the battery pack against the holding member to eliminate any horizontal play of the battery pack on the battery mount.
