Abstract: A fishing spinning reel speed changer wherein the winding handle is selectively attachable to the right and left sides of the reel. Two first and second speed change gears are integrally engaged with large and small speed change gears and movably fitted on a clutch axially displaceable on a hollow gear shaft which is rotatably supported through the spinning reel's body. A clutch lever and an attached bar may readily be assembled and disengaged to and from the spinning reel body for maintenance and when rotated move the bar to engage either the first speed change gear or the second speed change gear for low or high speed rotation.

Abstract: Disclosed is a drag control device in a spinning type fishing reel which includes a reel body and a spool shaft extending through the reel body. The drag control device comprises a hollow cylindrical member, a drag control screw, a click spring member and a stop member. The hollow cylindrical member extends from a rear portion of the reel body and is disposed over the spool shaft. The drag control screw has one end portion threadingly engaged with the hollow cylindrical member, an intermediate portion formed with the stepped portion, and the other end portion formed with indentations at an outer peripheral surface thereof. The hollow cylindrical member is formed with a groove at its outer peripheral surface and a through hole extending in radial direction thereof. The click spring member is fitted with the groove and engageable with the indentations. The stop member is provided to the click spring member and extends through the through-hole into the stepped portion.

Abstract: A handle folding device for a fishing reel is disclosed which is capable of absorbing the shake resulting from micro-small gaps between a handle shaft and a handle and between the handle and a handle stopper, permitting the handle to engage reliably and integrally with the handle shaft and insuring smooth rotation of the handle. The handle folding device has a construction in which the handle can be folded quickly and smoothly with a one-touch operation by rotating the handle while depressing the handle stopper protruding from the upper face of the handle against a spring, and in which the handle thus folded can be automatically fitted to the handle shaft when it is merely rotated to resume its original position.

Abstract: A bail arm turning device for fishing spinning reel, improved to permit an easy turning of a bail arm from winding position to releasing position simply by lifting a lever by the forefinger of the hand holding the rod. The device has a crank rotatably secured to the subtantially mid point of a bail arm attaching member and provided at its end with an elongated hole and at its lower side with a projection. A pin provided on the arm lever fits in the elongated hole. A manipulation lever is disposed at the rear side of the crank attaching portion of the bail arm attaching member, so as to extend at a right angle to the crank shaft. An actuating tab formed to extend downwardly from the manipulation lever faces and abuts the projection of the crank.
