  • Publication number: 20060258303
Abstract: A channel dividing unit of a transmitter divides a transmission signal into a plurality of channels based on channel structure information indicating a method of structuring an MIMO informed from a receiver. An STC unit realizes transmission diversity according to STC processing for each of the channels divided. A channel estimating unit of the receiver estimates a channel gain for transmission and reception of a signal. Based on a result of estimation of the channel gain, a physical configuration of the transmitter, and a physical configuration of the receiver, a transmission-side channel-structure determining unit of the receiver determines a structure of an MIMO channel, and informs channel structure information to the transmitter.

  • Publication number: 20060189335
Abstract: A method for transmitting information between at least two transceivers TRA and TRB linked together by a communication channel, said information being carried by means of at least one carrying signal Csg having an operating frequency, includes, according to the invention, a frequency selection step in the course of which said operating frequency is dynamically selected among frequencies comprised within at least a first and a second non-adjacent frequency intervals.

  • Publication number: 20040137933
Abstract: In a data transmission system, a transmitter adds control data to transmission data, and modulates the resultant signal by a predetermined modulation method, and sends the result in a wireless manner. A receiver detects a reception power intensity by use of the control data contained in the transmitted signal. A random pattern is used for a reception-power detecting portion for detecting a reception power intensity, which is contained in the control data.

  • Patent number: 6711123
Abstract: In a receiving apparatus, which receiving apparatus performs timing synchronization in OFDM transmission by using specific known patterns included in a reception signal, a correlation value calculation unit calculates signal patterns identical to the specific known patterns, prepares the calculation result in the receiving apparatus beforehand, and performs correlation calculation between the reception signal and the signal patterns while shifting the position of the correlation calculation every specific time. A timing adjustment unit performs timing synchronization in the OFDM transmission by using a plurality of correlation values obtained by the correlation value calculation unit, a maximum correlation value searching unit, and a preceding wave searching unit.
