Abstract: According to one embodiment, an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry sets a scan order such that among multiple ensemble groups each including multiple ultrasonic transmission-reception operations performed on a same scan line in each of partial scan regions of a scan region, a distance between temporally adjacent ultrasonic transmission-reception operations of different ensemble groups is not less than a first threshold, and a time difference between ultrasonic transmission-reception operations of the different ensemble groups with respect to spatially adjacent scan lines is not less than a second threshold. The processing circuitry causes ultrasonic waves to be transmitted and received according to the scan order.
