  • Patent number: 5771158
Abstract: The signal connecting through vias are provided on an edge side of a multilayer printed circuit board along a longitudinal direction thereof, and the signal wiring of the respective layers of the signal wiring layer is inclined with respected to the arrangement of the through vias.

  • Patent number: 4633519
Abstract: A portable radio used with this invention has two different types of antenna, such as a monopole antenna and a loop antenna. The diversity reception system continuously selects that one of the antenna which provides the better received signal. Antenna selection is performed such that the received signal level is compared with two or more preset threshold levels, and antennas are switched when and only when the received signal level fails to satisfy certain predetermined conditions.

  • Patent number: 4606050
Abstract: What is disclosed is a system for recovering encoded data from a transmitted signal. A clock regenerating circuit regenerates a clock signal from the data bits encoded in the signal. The regenerated clock signal is used to synchronize an up/down with each individual data bit. When a data bit is at a logic "H", the counter counts from a predetermined value in an upward direction and when the data bit is at a logic "L", the counter counts in a downward direction from a predetermined value. The count after each bit-time is used to provide a signal representative of the logic state of that data bit. Accordingly, a reproduced data signal can be accurately obtained.

  • Patent number: 4509201
Abstract: Two limit voltages are established for a wireless telephone apparatus. If the power supply voltage exceeds the first limit voltage, the transmitter of the wireless telephone apparatus is prevented from radiating signals. At the same time, the central processing unit of the wireless telephone apparatus shelters, in a dedicated shelter register, the control data necessary to carry on communication once power is restored, and an inhibit circuit prevents the central processing unit from writing into the read-write memory. If the power supply voltage exceeds the second limit voltage, the central processing unit is disabled from exercising control of the apparatus. When the power supply voltage returns within the second limit voltage, the central processing unit is enabled to exercise control over the apparatus. When the power supply voltage returns within the first limit voltage, the transmitter is enabled to radiate signals and the central processing unit reestablishes communication using the sheltered data.

  • Patent number: 4498195
Abstract: A radio interference detection device for use in a multi-channel access angle-modulation radio system. A detecting system detects a received signal prior to angle demodulation and produces an AM component of the received signal which is then rectified. A determining section then determines the level of the rectified signal for use in detecting interference in accordance with a determination result. The determining section includes an angle demodulator for angle-demodulating the received signal, a first comparator for comparing the angle-demodulated signal and the rectified signal, a second comparator for producing the detection signal when the rectified signal exceeds a predetermined level and a gate for passing the output signal from the second comparator only when the angle-demodulated signal is smaller than the rectified signal.

  • Patent number: 4365385
Abstract: A hinge arrangement for a record player to properly distribute the load over a glass cover and avoid imposing an unduly large load around the mounting holes. There is provided a cover retainer with a pair of hinge plates having side plate portions which define a receiving space for a pair of anchoring lugs and a hinge pin, on one of said hinge plates. The side portions on the other hinge plate are received by and fixed in said defined space and retained at the center point by the anchoring lugs so as to prevent the other hinge plate from rotating back away from the one hinge plate. Attaching screws are provided on one of said hinge plates for fixing the cover inserted in the cover retainer.

  • Patent number: 4086537
Abstract: Receiving conditions are classified into three types-- "good condition", "intermediate condition" and "bad condition". Where the receiving condition is an "intermediate condition," a receiving section continues with a receiving operation by supplying power thereto through a first normally closed switch from a power source. Where the receiving condition is both a "good condition" and a "bad condition", the first normally closed switch is closed, only during a specific period having the necessary information signals supplied from a time band designating means, to supply power from the power source to the receiving section thus to extract the necessary information signals by a signal processing section from the receiving input signals supplied from the receiving section, whereas the first normally closed switch is opened, during the remaining period to interrupt the power supply from the power source to the receiving section thus to stop the receiving operation.
