Patent number: 8842052Abstract: An antenna apparatus that can suppress sensitivity degradation as much as possible to receive AM broadcasts and FM broadcasts even if an antenna height is decreased to 70 mm or less. An antenna board is vertically mounted on a planar antenna base, and a top portion is disposed to stride over the antenna board. An antenna element includes the top portion and an antenna pattern formed on the antenna board. A distance between the antenna base and a lower edge of the top portion is not less than 10 mm, and the lower edge of the top portion is bent downward. The top portion is configured such that an antenna capacitance of the antenna element becomes about 3 pF or more. A received signal from the antenna element is guided to an amplifier board through a connecting wire and amplified. An antenna case is fitted in the antenna base.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2013Date of Patent: September 23, 2014Assignee: Harada Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masashi Wakui, Akio Kamiya, Nobuo Arayama

Publication number: 20130304310Abstract: A data communication system has a pair of signal lines which connects a plurality of controllers on a vehicle. At least one controller has a failure detector which detects data communication failure. At least one controller has a fall-back detector which detects fall-back state in which data communication is performed by using only one signal line. At least one controller has a high-level fail-safe module which restricts driving of the vehicle in response to a detection of the failure. The controller also has a low-level fail-safe module which performs precautious fail-safe control, which is less restrictive than that performed by the high-level fail-safe module, in response to a detection of the fall-back state.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2013Publication date: November 14, 2013Applicant: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Kimiyo INADA, Akio KAMIYA

Patent number: 5451967Abstract: A roof antenna capable of receiving three kinds of bands, i.e., a FM radio band, an AM radio band, and a wireless-telephone band, includes an antenna element 10 having a structure that a conductor 15 winds around the insulator 16 in the form of a coil. A molded portion 14 is formed at the bottom of the antenna element, in which a trap coil is inserted. The electric length from the antenna top 11 to the internal metal fitting 17 at the lower end of the antenna element 10 is about a quarter of a FM radio wave. The electric length from the internal metal fitting 17 to the lower end of the trap coil 12 is about a quarter of a wireless telephone wave. A cover 19 supporting a basal part of the antenna element installs the first substrate 20 and the second substrate 21. The first substrate 20 and the second substrate 21 have a matching circuit, branching filters, and amplifiers.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 1994Date of Patent: September 19, 1995Assignee: Nippon Antenna Company LimitedInventors: Shigeo Ueda, Masahide Onoda, Akio Kamiya
