The three-dimensional object building apparatus also includes a transferring mechanism that moves the light beam radiating unit in three-dimensional directions, and a shroud that moves integrally with the light beam radiating unit and surrounds a space above an area of the powder layer that is smaller than the object building area around a radiation of the light beam. The powder delivering unit and the powder flattening device move integrally with the light beam radiating unit.

    Abstract: An alarm apparatus for alarming a driver of a vehicle is provided. The alarm apparatus includes a first indicator disposed on a front center console inside the vehicle, a second indicator located in a windshield of the vehicle, a radar unit, a vehicle speed sensor and a controller. In operation, when a distance between the vehicle and the one ahead is less than a first alarm distance, the first indicator is activated to display the alarm. Further, when the distance is less than a second alarm distance smaller than the first alarm distance, the second indicator is activated to display the alarm. Even if the driver does not gaze ahead but the instruments, it is possible for the driver to look at the first indicator activated more frequency than the second indicator, thereafter shift his eyes ahead and finally brake the vehicle after confirming the preceding vehicle with composure.

    Abstract: The diagnostic device comprises voltage divider resistors, two comparators, a start switch, a microcomputer, two transistors, and two light emitting diodes. The ignition signal is voltage-divided by the voltage divider resistors, and the result of this voltage division is input into the positive terminals of the comparators. Reference voltages are input to the negative terminals of the comparators which determine how high the inputs to the positive terminals must be for each comparator to have an "H" level output. When the start switch is turned ON the device starts to operate. In the microcomputer, which has a timer function built in, the interrupt terminal (INT) becomes connected to the output terminal of the comparator; the reset terminal (RES) becomes connected to the start switch.

    Abstract: An ignition system for an internal combustion engine comprises a voltage boosting means which generates a high DC voltage by boosting a low DC voltage, a capacitor which charges the high DC voltage from the voltage boosting means, and ignition coil means having a secondary winding to which the high DC voltage is applied from the boosting means, wherein a high capacitive energy charged within the capacitor is supplied into one of spark plugs located within a corresponding engine cylinder in which a spark discharge has started and subsequently the output energy from the boosting means is supplied into that spark plug via the secondary winding of the ignition coil. Consequently, the ignition energy can sufficiently be supplied immediately after an ignition start to which a combustion characteristic is closely related and the complete combustion of air-fuel mixture can be achieved over the whole range of engine revolutional speed.

    Abstract: There is provided an engine ignition device which generates a high voltage in the secondary windings of the ignition coil through switching on and off of the electric current flowing in the primary windings by means of an ignition circuit. The generated high voltage is impressed on the ignition plugs to initiate ignition, and, at the same time, the high voltage is boosted by a DC-DC converter connected to the secondary windings and is supplied continuously to the ignition plugs, to prolong the discharge duration. There is further provided a DC-DC converter controlling circuit to control the DC-DC converter to initiate ignition synchronous with the ignition signal output and also to reduce the operating time of the DC-DC converter as the engine increases its speed.
