  • Patent number: 4333034
Abstract: A grid structure for a color cathode ray tube comprises a substantially rectangular, one-piece frame consisting of a pair of first opposed frame portions and a pair of second opposed frame portions orthogonally related to the first frame portions and being integral with the latter at ends thereof, and grid elements secured to the first frame portions and extending therebetween generally parallel to the second frame portions in a longitudinally stressed condition, the second frame portions having at least recesses therein for enhancing the resilient bending thereof under loads applied to the first frame portions in directions urging the latter toward each other.

Inventors: Akio Ohgoshi, Akira Nakayama, Yoshihiro Tsukamura, Takehisa Natori
  • Patent number: 4107657
Abstract: A flame detecting apparatus comprises a flame detecting electrode and an auxiliary electrode both of which are in use disposed in a flame, and means to bias the auxiliary electrode to a DC potential different from that of the detecting electrode.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 17, 1976
Date of Patent: August 15, 1978
    Assignee: Sony Corporation

  • Patent number: 3979623
Abstract: An indicator display tube in which indicator electrode units, each consisting of anode and cathode segments, lie in the same plane and in which all of the cathode segments are simultaneously energized and the anode electrodes are energized on a time sequential basis in such a manner that only the indicator electrode unit having its anode electrodes energized will glow at a particular time. The cathode segments of each indicator unit are connected in parallel which substantially reduces the number of leads to the display tube over conventional indicators which require a separate lead for energizing each of the cathode segments. The indicator display tube has means for preventing accidental discharge of adjacent indicator electrode units which would produce erroneous message displays.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 4, 1973
Date of Patent: September 7, 1976
    Assignee: Sony Corporation
Inventors: Yuzuru Yanagisawa, Akio Ohgoshi, Akira Nakayama, Shoichi Muramoto

  • Patent number: RE29740
Abstract: A color cathode ray tube preferably of the single gun, plural beam type wherein the beams originate on a horizontal or vertical straight line and are directed into a field produced by a horizontal-vertical electromagnetic deflection yoke at predetermined incident angles to each other so as to converge at a color screen, is provided with a magnetic yoke, for example, secured to the electron beam convergence plates at the end of the electron gun so as to be disposed in the path of the leakage flux produced by the horizontal-vertical electromagnetic deflection yoke, and thereby impart a further vertical or horizontal deflection field to at least one of the plural beams for correcting a deviation between the positions of rasters on the color screen produced by the plural beams.
