Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes an acquiring unit that acquires face information, the face information indicating a face of a user captured by an image capturing unit, a memory that stores an identifier of a user permitted to log in to the information processing apparatus, in association with first face information indicating a face of the user, a writing unit that, if a predetermined condition is satisfied during a period from login to logout of a user on the information processing apparatus, writes the face information acquired by the acquiring unit into the memory as second face information in association with an identifier of the user, and a restricting unit that, if the second face information satisfies a predetermined condition with respect to the face information acquired by the acquiring unit, restricts login as the user of the identifier associated with the first face information.

Abstract: An authentication device includes a face image extracting unit that extracts a face image of an operator, a footwear image extracting unit that extracts a footwear image, the footwear image being an image of footwear of the operator, a face authentication unit that performs face authentication based on the face image and a registered face image that is registered in advance, and a footwear authentication unit that performs footwear authentication based on the footwear image and a registered footwear image that is registered in advance. The operator is authenticated based on the result of the face authentication performed by the face authentication unit, and the result of the footwear authentication performed by the footwear authentication unit.
