  • Patent number: 6169859
Abstract: A diopter adjustment lens is provided with a follower pin on the edge thereof, and is arranged inside a cylinder provided with a guide groove engaging with the follower pin. A diopter adjustment dial, which is integrated with a diopter adjustment ring, is rotatably fitted on the cylinder. The diopter adjustment ring is provided with a cam face, and the follower pin of the diopter adjustment lens is brought into contact with the cam face through the guide groove in the cylinder. Rotating the diopter adjustment dial moves the diopter adjustment lens forward and backward thereby adjusting the diopter of the finder unit.

  • Patent number: 6094534
Abstract: A first cam groove for driving a lens holding frame along the optical axis is formed in the internal circumferential surface of a rotatable cylinder supporting the lens holding frame therein. A first cam follower provided at the lens holding frame engages with the first cam groove. A second cam groove is formed in the internal circumferential surface of the rotatable cylinder along the first cam groove. A guide member is inserted in the rotatable cylinder movably along the optical axis and is provided with a second cam follower engaging with the second cam groove. A tension spring is stretched between the lens holding frame and the guide member. This causes the lens holding frame to be always pressed forward.

  • Patent number: 6052536
Abstract: In a camera wherein a lens cap is detachably attached there are provided first and second photometric sensors on a lens barrel and the camera main frame, respectively. It is detected in accordance with the photometric values by the first and second photometric sensors whether the lens cap is mounted. According to the camera, it is possible to detect with great accuracy whether the lens cap is mounted, with a standard type lens cap.

  • Patent number: 5701523
Abstract: A lens barrel for a zoom lens having front and rear lens groups has a rotary barrel which is rotatable about the optical axis and moves the front lens group in the direction of the optical axis in response to its rotation. A focusing cam groove formed on the inner surface of the rotary barrel guides the rear lens group to focus the zoom lens in response to rotation of the rotary barrel, and a zooming can groove formed on the inner surface of the rotary barrel in parallel to the focusing cam groove guides the rear lens group to zoom the zoom lens in response to rotation of the rotary barrel.

  • Patent number: 5689739
Abstract: A photographic camera is provided with a zoom lens having a front lens group which is moved back and forth in the direction of an optical axis held by a movable lens barrel and a rear lens group which is disposed behind the front lens group and is moved backed and forth in the direction of the optical axis maintaining a predetermined optical position relative to the front lens group in response to movement of the front lens group. A lens drive mechanism includes a cam lever which is supported on the camera body for rotation about a rotational axis perpendicular to the optical axis. A first cam pin is provided on the movable lens barrel and a first cam hole is provided in the cam lever. A second cam pin is formed integrally with the rear lens group and a second cam hole is provided in the cam lever. A predetermined play for permitting focusing of the zoom lens is formed between the first cam pin and the first cam hole in the direction of movement of the movable lens barrel.
