  • Patent number: 6866310
Abstract: A door latch operation device for vehicle which can link a mechanical operation member and a latch mechanism by an operation of a mechanical identification operation member. The door latch operation device includes a lift lever linked to the latch mechanism, an inside lever linked to the mechanical operation member, and an open link provided between the lift lever and the inside lever. The open link is adapted to be operatively connected to the mechanical operation member and the mechanical identification operation member to move the open link and cause the open link to engage the lift lever. The open link is also rotatable to be engaged with and disengaged from the inside lever. A guiding mechanism movably and rotatably guides the open link.

  • Patent number: 5848557
Abstract: A driving device for tilting steering equipment comprises a screw shaft and a nut member. The nut member has a cylinder, a female screw member disposed in the cylinder, a hole formed in the cylinder facing the outer circumferential surface of the female screw member and a pressing member disposed in the hole. When the pressing member is pressed against the female screw member, the female screw member is bent toward the screw shaft. As a result, diametrical gaps between the male threads of the screw shaft and the female threads of the female screw member are removed in the area near where the pressing member presses the female screw member and on the side opposite the pressing member.

  • Patent number: 5806890
Abstract: A steering wheel position adjusting apparatus including a fixed tubular column, a movable tubular column movably mounted on the fixed tubular column, a lower rotational output steering shaft mounted within the fixed tubular column, and an upper rotational input steering shaft mounted within the movable tubular column and having upper and lower ends. The upper rotational steering shaft is connected at the upper end thereof to the manually operated steering wheel, and is connected at the lower end thereof to an upper end of the lower rotational steering shaft. The upper rotational steering shaft is movable with respect to the lower rotational steering shaft. An annular shaped ultrasonic motor is mounted on the outer periphery of the fixed column, the annular shaped ultrasonic motor being coaxial with the fixed tubular column and includes an output gear.

  • Patent number: 5738377
Abstract: A shock absorbing plate for a vehicle steering column is provided with a first portion for connection to a vehicle structure and the second portion for connection to a steering column which supports a steering wheel. A pair of parallel grooves are formed in the plate to define the second portion of the shock absorbing plate which is torn from the first portion of the shock absorbing plate when an excess force is applied axially to the steering column in order to absorb such excess force by axially moving the steering column relative to the vehicle structure. The shock absorbing characteristics of the shock absorbing plate can be varied by the shape of the grooves.

  • Patent number: 5522770
Abstract: A driving appratus which includes a driving shaft which is linked to a driving member, a driven shaft which is connected with the driving shaft and which is linked to a driven member, a joint member which connects the driving shaft with the driven shaft so that a torque is transmitted from the driving shaft to the driven shaft while absorbing the eccentricity between both shafts and an urging member which is disposed to the joint member and which urges the joint member in the axial and rotational direction in regard to the both shafts. According to this improved driving appratus, the joint member rotates under the condition which is urged by the urging member in the axial and rotational direction in regard to the driving shaft and the driven shaft and transmitts the torque from the driving shaft to the driven shaft.
