  • Publication number: 20200268307
Abstract: A swallowing movement measuring device measures an examinee's swallowing movement. The device measures a movement of the examinee's larynx when the examinee swallows a food bolus. This device has a capacitive sensor to be brought into contact with a body skin of the examinee's laryngeal part, and a measuring unit that measures a change of the capacitive sensor in capacitance. This capacitive sensor includes a sensor body comprising sheet-like dielectric layer, a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer. The first and the second electrode layers are formed on a top surface and a bottom surface of the dielectric layer respectively, and are at least partially opposed to each other across the dielectric layer. The partially opposed portions of the electrode layers constitute a detection portion. The sensor body is reversibly deformable to change areas of the top and bottom surfaces of the dielectric layer.

  • Publication number: 20200255466
Abstract: Method of forming colloidal lignin particles, comprising the step of dissolving lignin in a mixture of organic solvents, feeding of the said solution into water, and forming acolloidal dispersion of lignin. The used solvents are recovered with methods such as distillation and reused in the process. Water is removed from the colloidal dispersion by ultrafiltration and reused in the process. The concentrated colloidal dispersion is dried by spray drying. The invention can be used in applications where the colloidal nature of lignin will afford an advantage over bulk lignin.

  • Patent number: 10088150
Abstract: To enable a carbonized material production kiln to be maintained in a simple manner when an exposed surface on a side wall of the kiln is cracked, to prevent the kiln from easily cracking by heat to thereby prolong the life of the kiln itself, and to increase heat retention efficiency to thereby increase carbonization efficiency even during periods of cold temperatures such as the winter season. The carbonized material production kiln is formed by stacking cubic concrete blocks each having no reinforcing iron so that recombination of up to six faces of each cubic concrete block becomes possible, wherein a heat storage/retention member such as stones is filled in an exhaust space formed between a kiln floor iron plate and a kiln bottom so as to store heat, thereby preventing a decrease in carbonization efficiency even at cold temperatures.
