  • Patent number: 4832400
Abstract: A vehicle seat with a lumbar support device which is so constructed that an independent lumbar support cushion member is defined in a cushion member and a trim cover assembly covering such cushion member includes a lumbar support portion, a part of which is formed separate from the surrounding areas of the trim cove assembly, covering the independent lumbar support cushion member. Thus, the lumbar support section of the seat is easily raised or lowered at an increased range, by operation of the lumbar support device.

  • Patent number: 4692804
Abstract: An image distortion correcting apparatus for a television camera. In addition to an analogue correcting waveform, four corner independent distortion correcting waveforms are employed for rough adjustment together with a digital distortion correcting signal serving for fine adjustment. These waveforms are combined to be utilized for correcting image distortion from which the television camera suffers. A high-accuracy correction of image distortion can be accomplished with a circuit configuration of a small scale.

  • Patent number: 4582129
Abstract: A heat exchanging system including a heat exchanger element formed by stacking, in predetermined spaced relation, a plurality of thermally conductive partition plates, primary and secondary air streams being allowed to alternately flow through laminar spaces between the partition plates, and heat exchange being effected between the primary and secondary air streams while the primary and secondary air streams are cyclically switched. In accordance with different embodiments, the partition plates may be impermeable to moisture and be capable of accumulating moisture, (b) be moisture transmissive and hygroscopic, or (c) be impermeable to moisture and have no capability of accumulating moisture.

  • Patent number: 4574872
Abstract: A heat exchanger apparatus includes a cylindrical-shaped heat exchanger formed by alternately laminating first and second elements in the circumferential direction of the cylindrical-shaped heat exchanger. The cylindrical-shaped heat exchanger is rotated to carry out the function of the conventional regenerative rotary type total heat exchanger. In addition, the first and second elements are also allowed to effect a heat exchange or total heat exchange operation. The cylindrical-shaped heat exchanger is either hollow or solid, which provides many variations in arrangement of air ducts for primary and secondary air flows. Further, a partition interposed between the first and second elements has variation in property: permeable to water vapor; non-permeable to water vapor as well as non-hygroscopic; and so forth. The first and second elements exchange heat with each other in a total heat exchange operation mode and a sensible heat exchange operation mode.

  • Patent number: 4575153
Abstract: A back frame forming a part of a seat back of a seat for use in a vehicle such as an automobile is disclosed. The back frame is extended at its lower end(s) with a reinforcement portion and this reinforcement portion is attached to the inside surface of a lower bracket of a reclining adjuster mounted to a cushion frame, so that any displacement loads applied to the back frame can be shared in part by the lower bracket to improve the strength and rigidity of both of the upper bracket of the reclining adjuster and the back frame.

  • Patent number: 4571763
Abstract: A cushion member for use in a vehicle seat is disclosed. In this cushion member, a block body formed of a soft foam material is embedded centrally of the bottom portion of a main body of the present cushion member which is formed of a harder foam material. The block body includes side walls that are not integrally connected to the main body, or separated from the main body by hardening/impregnation preventive means, while the upper wall of the block body oriented in a perpendicular direction relative to applied loads is welded integrally to the main body by means of a hardened/impregnated layer produced during formation of the main body. With the present cushion, therefore, loads applied to the cushion member are distributed over the entire block body, and at the same time the main body will not be deformed when the cushion member itself is deformed as the loads are applied thereto.

  • Patent number: 4514869
Abstract: A top member for a vehicle seat includes a top layer, wadding and a wadding cover laminated to one another. Rigid button core members having outer circumferential portions are interposed between the top layer and the wadding or between the wadding and the wadding cover. The outer layer and wadding cover are adhered to one another along lines radially extending between pairs of button core members and are annularly adhered to one another at the outer circumferential portions of the button core members.

  • Patent number: 4478053
Abstract: An air-conditioning machine having, in blocks within the same box body, an indoor-air circulation wind passage, an outdoor-air circulation wind passage, and a ventilation wind passage. An opposite-flow heat exchanger, designed to recover the heat in the ventilation wind passage, is provided. One of two opposite faces having two wind passage openings in one face of the opposite-flow heat exchanger faces the outdoor-air circulation wind passage. The other thereof faces the indoor-air circulation wind passage. Shutters or dampers are provided on both of the faces. Functions of cooling and heating, heating and exchange ventilation, and simultaneous feed and exhaust non-heat-exchange ventilation can be exhibited.

  • Patent number: 4000960
Abstract: Apparatus for manufacturing synthetic tow for stretch-cut spinning process. The synthetic tow is produced by changing the coagulation condition after delivery from the spinnerets so the weak points are distributed in individual filaments in a particular condition defined by variation of uneveness of breaking strength. The coagulation condition of each filaments in the two is positively changed according to periodic changes in the filament's passage by contacting a deviation bar disposed in the filament's passage.
