  • Patent number: 5064496
Abstract: A method for collecting yarns and an apparatus therefor which are characterized by that yarns of a plurality of fibrous materials are held and collected by a running belt a part of which is made round into a cylindrical form, run at this state for a prescribed distance together with the belt, and are released from the belt in the collected form, anda method for loading a bundle of yarns and an apparatus therefor which are characterized by that a cylinder tool which is provided with a ring whose inner diameter is expanded toward the top at one end of the tool is inserted into a cylindrical case, the bundle of yarns is loaded into the cylinder tool from the one end until the top end of the bundle is exposed to the other end of the case, then, the top part of the bundle and the case are held, and the cylinder tool is removed off toward the one end, as the bundle is allowed to remain in the case.

  • Patent number: 4176156
Abstract: A method for heat sterilizing an artificial kidney comprising a receptacle having accommodated therein permselective hollow filaments and including inlet and outlet ports for the blood and inlet and outlet ports for a dialyzate, which comprises(a) filling a primer consisting of water or a water solution into the artificial kidney,(b) connecting a pressure buffer tank to at least one of the inlet and outlet ports,(c) sealing the remaining ports by stopper means,(d) heating the artificial kidney to a temperature of 80.degree. to 130.degree. C. to heat sterilize it, and moving the gas and a part of the primer in the artificial kidney which have been expanded by heating to the pressure buffer tank,(e) cooling the artificial kidney to return the primer in the buffer tank to the artificial kidney, and(f) aseptically sealing the port connected to the pressure buffer tank; and artificial kidneys of specified constituent elements suitable for use in heat sterilization by this method.

  • Patent number: 4058134
Abstract: An interceptor apparatus actuated by seismic and other vibrations comprising a substantially vertically movable rod, a weight capable of engagement with the rod and a plurality of pivotable support arms supporting the weight within a housing and held in a mechanically balanced state in entirety. When the apparatus undergoes seismic or other vibrations, the mechanical balance is lost, whereupon the weight is released from the support arms and is allowed to fall together with the vertically movable rod due to the gravitational forces, thereby effecting the switching of a related fluid circuit or electric circuit.

  • Patent number: 4028510
Abstract: An apparatus actuated by seismic vibrations and other vibrations is disclosed.A vertically or substantially vertically movable rod, a weight or mass in engagement or capable of engagement with the rod and a plurality of pivotable stays or support arms supporting the weight are provided within a housing, and held in a mechanically balanced state in their entirety. When the apparatus undergoes seismic or other vibrations, the mechanical balance is disturbed, whereupon the weight is released from the support arms and allowed to fall together with the vertically movable rod due to the gravitational force, thereby effecting the switching of a related fluid or electric circuit.
