Publication number: 20220159325Abstract: A method of reproducing audio content between a main terminal including a first speaker and a plurality of subsidiary terminals including a second speaker. Device specific identification (ID) information of the subsidiary terminals and association information for transmitting one of the audio data of the audio content to one of the subsidiary terminals are stored. The association information defines that one of the audio data of the audio content is associated with one of the device specific ID information. The subsidiary terminals transmit/receive with the main terminal and the device specific ID information is transmitted from the subsidiary terminals to the main terminal when connecting to the main terminal. The encoded audio data of the audio content is transmitted to the subsidiary terminals based on the association information, then is decoded and the subsidiary terminals output the audio data to the second speaker.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 7, 2022Publication date: May 19, 2022Inventors: Hideki Kamimaki, Akira Date, Akira Tanaka

Patent number: 8819747Abstract: A contents receiving system uses a digital broadcast wave or a broadband network to enable a user to suitably view main content, and provide a user with subsidiary content information desired by the user. Each of subsidiary content control receivers A (101), B (102) transmits ID information specific to each of the subsidiary content control receivers A (101), B (102), and a request for acquiring subsidiary content, from a communication control unit (405) to a main content receiving display unit 100. The main content receiving display unit 100 uses a content separation control unit (310) to separate a stream into subsidiary content corresponding to the request. Then, a request information input/transmission control unit (313) transmits the separated subsidiary content and the received ID information to the subsidiary content control receiver in question. The subsidiary content control receiver judges from the ID information that the subsidiary content should be acquired.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2013Date of Patent: August 26, 2014Assignee: Hitachi Consumer Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hideki Kamimaki, Akira Date, Akira Tanaka

Patent number: 8112503Abstract: In hybrid peer-to-peer type content delivery, a server confirms user's intension as to content disclosure, guarantees content delivery by mutual authentication between a client to which content has been delivered and a client to which content has not been delivered, and guarantees the integrity of content having been delivered. Further, the server configures delivery connection based on the network relationship between the clients and priority factors taking account of a reservation status.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2008Date of Patent: February 7, 2012Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Nobuhiro Sekimoto, Akira Date, Ui Yamaguchi, Hiroki Miyamoto

Publication number: 20090178091Abstract: The playback of contents in the course of progressive download is stopped depending on the information of the contents and network environments. Also, contents in the course of the playback of progressive download cannot be fast forwarded. When progressive download is indicated, a contents receiving terminal dynamically allocates resources (bus band, CPU, etc.) used in other stream processing within the receiving terminal and fast downloads a portion not downloaded to avoid the interruption of playing contents. Furthermore, the receiving terminal transmits a required communication band to a home gateway, which performs band control with other communications within a home network to allocate a maximum allocatable communication band to the contents receiving terminal.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 2, 2009Publication date: July 9, 2009Inventors: Hiroki MIYAMOTO, Hideki Kamimaki, Akira Date, Nobuhiro Sekimoto

Publication number: 20080104644Abstract: The present invention relates to a technology for satisfactorily realizing trick play in a video-on-demand system that transmits video contents to video receivers. For example, even when the interval between key frames which is coded in intra-frame coding is unequal and the data size of a key frame is not uniform, trick play can be achieved using the key frames within a permissible transmission bit rate. Herein, the transmission start time instant and transmission completion time instant of each key frame that should be transmitted are calculated. If the transmission completion time instant of a preceding key frame and the transmission start time instant of a succeeding key frame are incompatible with each other, the transmission of the succeeding key frame is canceled. If the above time instants are compatible, the succeeding key frame is transmitted at the transmission start time instant.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2007Publication date: May 1, 2008Inventors: Youhei SATO, Kaoru Konishi, Akira Date
