Publication number: 20230410387Abstract: A computer-implemented method for selectively replacing a color of an object in an original image due to color blindness of a viewer. The method includes identifying whether there are color groups that are hard to be distinguished at a border between one or more objects in an original image. The method further includes generating a grayscale image from the original image and estimating an original color of each pixel in the original image by inputting the generated grayscale image to an automatic colorization artificial intelligence (AI) model. The method further includes determining at least one color group for which color replacement is to be performed and replacing the determined at least one color group with a color that is easily perceived by the person having a color vision deficiency and that is easily distinguished from the other color groups at the border between the identified one or more objects.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2022Publication date: December 21, 2023Inventors: TAIHEI MIYAMOTO, KAORU OHASHI, Akira Fujiu, KAZUKI SEKIGUCHI

Patent number: 11790028Abstract: A user interface (UI) enhancement system modifies a computer user interface based on user interactions recorded over time. The UI enhancement system records user interactions and develops a corresponding heat map. The heat map represents frequencies of user actions such as links clicked, scrolling actions, buttons selected, jumps within a page, etc. Based on the heat map, the UI enhancement system modifies a user interface configuration file which in turn influences the appearance and/or behavior of elements within the user interface to improve the user experience. Some embodiments give greater prominence to a UI element associated with greater “heat” and less prominence to an element with less “heat”.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2020Date of Patent: October 17, 2023Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Akira Fujiu, Mihoko Hasegawa, Tomokazu Nakamura, Yukiko Whalen

Publication number: 20230298211Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for selective color replacement using image recognition, including a method for generating an image with improved accessibility for color vision diversity. The method may comprise, in an operation phase obtaining, as an output, a first set of objects included in a first image by inputting the first image to a first AI model, obtaining, as an output, a second set of objects included in a second image by inputting the image to a second AI model, comparing the first set of objects and the second set of objects to extract an object that is included in the first set of objects but not included in the second set of objects as an unrecognized object, and replacing a color of the unrecognized object in the first image with a color easily recognized by a person having color vision deficiency.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2022Publication date: September 21, 2023Inventors: KAORU OHASHI, Akira Fujiu, KAZUKI SEKIGUCHI, TAIHEI MIYAMOTO

Patent number: 11200049Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for automated test authorization management is provided. The method obtains a test result, as part of an issue record, for a test of a software product. The test result contains a set of test attributes and represents an issue affecting the software product. An authorized developer is identified to assign the issue record. The method updates an authorization attribute of the test based on the test result and the authorized developer and transfers the authorization attribute to the authorized developer. The method detects a status transition of the issue record from a first status to a second status and reverts the authorization attribute of the test based on detecting the second status.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2020Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Yukiko Whalen, Tomokazu Nakamura, Mihoko Hasegawa, Akira Fujiu
