    Abstract: A switch device has an operating knob held at a neutral position by a slider. The operating knob includes an articular recess swingably provided over a base body. A spring and the slider are set in a rectangular pipe which is a part of the base body. Guide pins at the outer end portion of the slider are loosely engaged with slide grooves formed in guide-pin guiding portions. When the slider, being urged by the spring, is in engagement with the articular recess, it holds the operating knob at the neutral position so that the operating knob is allowed to swing about the guide pins.

    Abstract: A rotary direction detecting sensor for use on an automobile includes a pair of switching means provided radially from an axis of a steering shaft, and angularly spaced from each other at a predetermined angle about the axis. A first rotary member and a second rotary member are provided around the steering shaft, one of the rotary members being rotated in accordance with the rotation of the shaft and the other of them being limited in rotation to a substantially half angle of the angle between the switching means. In response to one direction of the rotation of the shaft, one of the switching means is selected to actuate blinking of one turn indicator lamp whereas the other of the switching means is held at its original deactivated position. On the other hand, in response to the other direction of the rotation of the shaft, the other of the switching means is selected for its operation.

    Abstract: A switch assembly in which a lever rotates a separate rotary member to operate a first electrical switch and the lever pivots within the rotary member to operate a second electrical switch. The rotating member is held at a first position and a second position when the rotary member is turned. A solenoid is linked to a cam that restores the lever to a neutral position between the first and second positions. A return mechanism returns the pivoting member to its original position when the lever is released.

    Abstract: A manually operated mode-selecting valve device allowing pressurized air to be transmitted to a plurality of working agents so as to actuate them simultaneously with the movement of a single valve medium upon operating a corresponding single actuator is disclosed. The operational force required is reduced to such a point as that merely needed to move a single number of the valve medium. The valve medium serves as an air-passage way in cooperation with an air-passage forming medium, thereby rendering reducing the number of part components together with structural simplification.

    Abstract: An improved rotary direction detecting sensor to be used for a vehicle. It includes a stationary member including a cylindrical extension, a movable member fitted on a rotor and rotatable in the same direction associated with the rotor, the rotor being rotatably fitted to the stationary member on its cylindrical extension, while the stationary member is kept unrotatable irrespective of the rotation of the rotor, and a follower member interposed between the stationary member and the movable member. The follower member has a cut-out engaged with a corresponding projection formed on the movable member to delay the rotation of the follower member for a predetermined angle with respect to the rotation of the movable member. Both the movable member and follower member are provided with separate connecting contacts, while the stationary member is provided with a group of contacts selectively contacted by the connecting contacts depending on the rotary direction of the rotor.
