  • Patent number: 8772659
Abstract: Key impact noise produced during data entry operations is abated with a configuration in which the deformable portion of the resilient member can abut the bottom surface of the key top and a gap is formed between the key top and the membrane sheet when the key top is displaced to the lowered position. This allows for the key top to be prevented from abutting the membrane sheet when the key top is displaced by the user from the raised position to the lowered position. As a result, the noise of collision between the key top and the membrane sheet is no longer produced and the key impact noise of the keyboard can be diminished.

  • Publication number: 20140060916
Abstract: A slit opening 8 is formed on a lower principal surface 6a of a hard disk case 6, in the vicinity of the inner side of an angle part formed by a lower left lateral wall 6e and an opposing lower lateral wall 6c. A hard disk drive 7 is placed in the hard disk case 6. When the hard disk drive 7 is subjected to vibration caused by disturbance on the hard disk case 6, elastic deformation of an angle part 8a of the slit opening 8 occurs using an axis 8b as a center to reduce vibration of the hard disk drive 7. Thus, it is possible to reduce the thickness of the hard disk case 6. With such a configuration, a hard disk case that is for housing an electronic component and that can have a small thickness can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20140063728
Abstract: Buffer materials 7 and a lower principal surface 6a of a hard disk case 6, and the buffer materials 7 and a hard disk drive 5, are adhesively fixed to each other by strong pressure-sensitive adhesive forces. Pressure-sensitive adhesive materials 8 are provided between the hard disk drive 5 and an upper principal surface 6b of the hard disk case 6. The pressure-sensitive adhesive force of each pressure-sensitive adhesive material 8 is weak to such a degree that the pressure-sensitive adhesive material 8 becomes detached by a contraction force of each buffer material 7. Thus, when external disturbance is applied to the hard disk drive 5, each pressure-sensitive adhesive material 8 becomes detached during contraction of each buffer material 7. The contraction of each buffer material 7 and the detachment of each pressure-sensitive adhesive material 8 allow improvement of the impact resistance of the hard disk drive 5.

  • Publication number: 20140063727
Abstract: Mounted between bottom and top surfaces of a case are: second buffer materials and first buffer materials brought in surface contact with a bottom surface of a hard disk drive (HDD) via an insulating member, and upper buffer materials brought in surface contact with the opposite side of the HDD via the insulating member. When impact F2 is applied to the HDD, the second buffer materials contract from a thickness of T0 to T2, and the first buffer materials buckle. Buckling parts of the first buffer materials buckle when the second buffer materials contract to thickness T2, and can achieve impact-lessening independently from the second buffer materials. The second buffer materials contract singly from T0 to equal T1 to or more than T2, whereas the first buffer materials and second buffer materials both act at thickness T2 or beyond. Therefore, impact-lessening can be achieved in a broad range.

  • Patent number: 8531836
Abstract: The position of an electronic apparatus can be stabilized. At least one of foot portions of a notebook computer includes a height adjustment mechanism consisting of a ground contact member, a height adjustment member, and a screw. Thus, even if a variation in height dimension among the foot portions, deformation of a first housing, or the like causes the first housing to become unsteady, the unsteadiness of the first housing can be cancelled by adjusting the height of the foot portion to any height.

  • Publication number: 20130044420
Abstract: A casing 1, a lid component 11 for covering a terminal 13 disposed in an opening of the casing 1, and a water sealing component 12 disposed around the terminal 13, are provided. The lid component 11 is structured such that a support portion 11h of a fixing portion 11g is rotatably fixed to the casing 1, and a slidable portion 11b slides relative to a lid portion 11a. Thus, a projection 11c is engaged with a recess 14, and a pair of engagement portions 11f engages with a pair of fixed projections 16. Thus, the lid component 11 engages with the casing 1 in three directions, and is held by being pressed against the water sealing component 12. • Publication number: 20120268873
Abstract: Disposed on a principal plane of a case is a pair of support members each having one end portion rotatably supported. The other end portions of the support members are supported rotatably by projections included in the case. A pair of loose-insertion openings through which the support parts are loosely inserted is arranged on the one end portions of the pair of support members. A gripping member having a configuration embedding the support members via the pair of loose-insertion openings is included. In a gripping device and an information processing device including the gripping device, concaved portions are formed on the support members at positions intersecting the pair of loose-insertion openings and facing the other support member. This configuration allows smooth rotational moving of the gripping member with regard to the information processing device, and suppressing pinching of foreign debris between the pair of support members and the gripping member.
