    Abstract: A battery pack cooling system includes a plurality of cells disposed in an internal space of a battery pack case so as to form a cooling passage configured to cool the cell modules by cooling air flowing in the cooling passage. The cooling passage includes a cooling air inlet passage, a cooling air exhaust passage, and a plurality of cooling branch passages disposed to connect the cooling air inlet passage and the cooling air exhaust passage in parallel. A minimum temperature sensor is disposed in the upstream position to measure a lowest temperature region in a first cell module. A maximum temperature sensor is disposed in the downstream position which becomes a highest temperature region in the first cell module. Another temperature sensor is disposed in a second cell module to measure the temperature of either the highest temperature or the lowest temperature in the second cell module.

    Abstract: An object is irradiated with respective cone-beam like X-rays from first and second directions. For each of the first and second directions are produced mask and live images as respective projection images of the object before and after a contrast medium reaches an interested part of the object. Then, subtraction of the mask image from the live image is made in conjunction with each of the first and second directions. The resulting subtraction image assumes a projection image of the distribution of the contrast medium in the interested part taken in the corresponding direction. The respective projection widths of such projection images of the contrast medium distribution are determined to generate an ellipse defined by the projection widths. The shape of this ellipse is corrected in accordance with individual data values in the projection images of the contrast medium, thereby providing a corrected shape accurately resembling the actual shape of the interested part of the object.

An electromagnetic field generating device is arranged in the vicinity of the tundish nozzle and mold in a manner to enclose same, to generate an electromagnetic force oriented toward the center of a body of molten metal flowing through the boundary and exerted on the body of molten metal. The electromagnetic field generating device is constructed such that a magnetic flux of higher density is generated in a lower portion of the body of molten metal than in an upper portion thereof.

An electromagnetic field generating device is located between an outer surface of the tundish nozzle and an inner surface of the mold in the vicinity of an end surface of the mold facing the tundish nozzle for exerting an electromagnetic force on the body of molten metal flowing from the tundish nozzle to the mold in such a manner that the electromagnetic force is oriented toward the center of the body of molten metal.
