  • Patent number: 10823393
Abstract: A frame member is attached to an opening in an outer light-reflection plate. The frame member is composed of an inner frame part, and an outer frame part disposed around the inner frame part. A light extraction part is formed between the outer frame part and the inner frame part. The inner frame part is constituted by a separate extraction part that extracts acoustic vibrations and light. A space of the separate extraction part includes, on both ends, a sound intake port on an internal space side where a sound source is disposed, and a sound extraction port formed in the top of the inner frame part so as to open toward the outside of an LED illumination device. The sound intake port and the sound extraction port are formed separated from each other by a prescribed distance, and the space is formed continuously in the inner frame part so as to connect the sound intake port and the sound extraction port.

  • Patent number: 7123738
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a speaker using lightweight, highly rigid diaphragm having excellent frequency characteristic and improving resistance to environment (including resistance to UV and resistance to fading). For this end, the speaker utilizes a cone-shaped diaphragm made from foamed or cellular resin such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin or polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) resin with 30 ?m average cell size. The use of such cone-shaped diaphragm is effective to improve sound quality of the speaker.

  • Patent number: 5844731
Abstract: A light reflecting plate includes a thermoplastic polyester foam containing fine cells with a mean cell diameter of 50 .mu.m or less and having a thickness of 200 .mu.m or more and a specific gravity of 0.7 or less. This light reflecting plate exhibits a high diffuse reflectance of visible light without adding a pigment or fine particles for improving the light scattering properties.

  • Patent number: 5723510
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a thermoplastic polyester foam sheet comprises forming a roll by overlapping a thermoplastic polyester sheet and a separator on each other and rolling them, impregnating an inert gas into the thermoplastic polyester sheet while the roll is kept in a pressurized inert gas atmosphere, and foaming the thermoplastic polyester sheet by heating it under atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 5458832
Abstract: In manufacturing a foamed plastics of a saturated polyester resin, in which a saturated polyester resin is melted in an extruder, a foaming agent is injected under pressure into the molten saturated polyester resin at an intermediate portion of a barrel of the extruder, and the molten saturated polyester resin containing the foaming agent is extruded from a die to manufacture the foamed plastics of the saturated polyester resin, a polydimethylsiloxane having a boiling point, which is lower by at least 50.degree. C. than the melting point of the saturated polyester resin to be foamed, at the atmospheric pressure is used as a foaming agent.
