Abstract: A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material, comprising at least one silver halide light-sensitive emulsion layer provided on a support wherein at least one of said light-sensitive emulsion layer contains (i) at least one 5-pyrazolone coupler having an elimination group represented by the following general formula (I) at the coupling position thereof and (ii) at least one monodisperse cubic silver halide emulsion containing at least one metal ion selected from the group consisting of ions of metals of Group VIII of the Periodic Table, transition metals of Group II of the Periodic Table, lead and thallium in an amount of from 1.times.10.sup.-9 to 1.times.10.sup.

Abstract: Disclosed is a silver halide photographic material including a support and a photographic layer. The photographic layer includes at least one essentially silver iodide free monodisperse silver chlorobromide emulsion which is obtained using a particular bromine or bromide ion slow release agent. Also disclosed is a process for producing such a material.
