  • Publication number: 20150122237
Abstract: In a stratification operation, O2 is injected from an oxygen injector during valve opening of an intake valve. Therefore, the injected O2 flows into a combustion chamber immediately after the injection, and forms a layer having a constant spread in the combustion chamber. Meanwhile, the working gas in the combustion chamber forms such a layer as to cover the O2 layer on a wall surface of the combustion chamber in conjunction with formation of the O2 layer. In other words, in the combustion chamber, an inner layer with a high O2 concentration and an outer layer with a high working gas concentration are respectively formed.

  • Publication number: 20150083285
Abstract: A magnesium alloy of the present invention has the chemical composition that contains 0.02 mol % or more and less than 0.1 mol % of at least one element selected from yttrium, scandium, and lanthanoid rare earth elements, and magnesium and unavoidable impurities accounting for the remainder. A magnesium alloy member of the present invention is produced by hot plastic working of the magnesium alloy in a temperature range of 200° C. to 550° C., followed by an isothermal heat treatment performed in a temperature range of 300° C. to 600° C. The magnesium alloy is preferred for use in applications such as in automobiles, railcars, and aerospace flying objects. The magnesium alloy and the magnesium alloy member can overcome the yielding stress anisotropy problem, and are less vulnerable to the rising price of rare earth elements.

  • Patent number: 8861315
Abstract: A radio-controlled wristwatch that determines whether or not illuminance of light irradiating a solar cell is high, using plural criteria but without directly measuring voltage or current. The wristwatch includes: a solar cell; a control circuit which stops operation under a predetermined condition; and an illuminance detection circuit which indicates illuminance of light irradiating the solar cell being higher than a given threshold value. The wristwatch switches the given threshold value between a first and a second value, larger than the first value, starts the control circuit in a stop state when a signal indicating that the illuminance is higher than the first value is output, receives a satellite signal containing time information from a satellite when a signal indicating that the illuminance is higher than the second value is output, and displays time corresponding to the time information contained in the received satellite signal.
