  • Patent number: 6620265
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an aluminum alloy fin material brazing comprises forming an ingot sheet by casting a molten liquid of an aluminum alloy by a continuous casting rolling method, and cold-rolling the ingot sheet to prepare a fin material. The aluminum alloy contains prescribed amounts of Mn, Fe, and Si, with the balance being Al and inevitable impurities. The continuous cast-rolling is applied under each a prescribed condition of a molten liquid temperature, a roll press load, a casting speed, and a thickness of the ingot sheet. Two or more intermediate annealings are applied midway in the cold-rolling process, with intermediate annealing including final intermediate annealing with a heating furnace in prescribed temperature range, thereby adjusting the prescribed rolling ratio in the cold-rolling, after the final intermediate annealing.

  • Patent number: 5603631
Abstract: A plug (2) that includes a plug frame (7) is inserted into an opening of a housing (4) and is retained by a pair of spring-like detent pieces (6) extending into the opening. Projecting portions (6a) on the detent pieces engage recess portions (15) on right and left hand sides of the plug frame. A cylindrical lug (13) is slidably mounted on the plug frame and includes an opening portion (14) and inclined surfaces (17) to permit plug removal. The inclined surfaces (17) serve as cams to lift the projection portions (6a) out of the recess portions (15) when the lug is moved rearwardly. A stopper (3) is insertable into the plug frame to block such rearward sliding motion of the lug on the frame to prevent removal of the plug from the housing. The stopper may include a locking inward projection (3d) for engaging a hole (13b) bored in the lug to block rearward motion of the lug on the plug frame.

  • Patent number: 5554966
Abstract: An audio apparatus having a detachable control panel or operating-part main unit includes a microcomputer for detecting an OFF state of an ACC position of the ignition key, or the attached/detached state of the operating-part main unit. When such states are detected, normal operations of the microcomputer; namely, the operations to turn on an SWD V.sub.DD terminal and an A/D port and to set a KEY DATA terminal into a standby mode, are stopped intermittently in order to execute a low consumption process in which electric power is consumed only for holding information in memory in the microcomputer. When the microcomputer detects the OFF state of the ignition key or the OFF state of an installation detection switch and, an alarm ON state is set in the memory in the microcomputer, then an alarm sound is generated from a speaker for a predetermined time.

  • Patent number: 5359230
Abstract: An on-vehicle electronic device includes a main body which is fastened to a vehicle and has a first terminal, and an operation unit which is detachably mounted in the main body and which has a second terminal electrically connected to the first terminal when the operation unit is mounted in the main body. The main body includes a reference power source applying a reference voltage to the first terminal, and a voltage detection unit for detecting a voltage applied to the first terminal. The main body further includes a mounting detection unit. The mounting detection unit determines, based on a difference between a first detection voltage detected by the voltage detection unit when the operation unit is mounted and a second detection voltage detected by the voltage detection unit when the operation unit is not mounted, whether or not the operation unit is mounted and electrically connected to the main body via the first and second terminals.

  • Patent number: 5073043
Abstract: Means and method for assembling an optical fiber cable with a tubular member that secures an outside protective jacket of the cable. The inside wall of the tubular member is provided with serrations such that when the wall is physically reduced on the protective jacket, the serrations engage and retain the jacket without compressing the inner optical fiber so that it is free to move longitudinally within the jacket. This is accomplished by using a crimping device having a crimping aperture that is sized to precisely control the amount of reduction of the tube wall onto the protective jacket.

  • Patent number: 4573629
Abstract: A method of production of a cladding tube for a nuclear fuel element wherein a first hollow billet of a zirconium alloy and a second hollow billet of zirconium having a smaller outer diameter than the first hollow billet are formed by heat treatment, forging and cutting. A resilient member is inserted in a space defined between the first hollow billet and the second hollow billet inserted in the first hollow billet, a pressure oriented axially of the two hollow billets is applied to the resilient member to bring the outer wall surface of the second hollow billet into intimate contact with the inner wall surface of the first hollow billet, and opposite ends of the two hollow billets are joined and sealed. The hollow billets thus joined into a unitary structure are subjected to hot extrusion, cold working and heat treatment to produce a composite tube of reduced diameter and reduced thickness, and the inner and outer wall surfaces of the composite tube are ground.
