  • Publication number: 20060022968
Abstract: A display panel driver has two driver circuits that drive separate halves of a display panel. Each driver circuit occupies a separate integrated circuit chip. The driver has a screen saving mode in which each driver circuit displays an independent screen saving image that moves in synchronization with a timing signal. The timing signal is generated in one driver circuit and transmitted by a chip-to-chip interface to the other driver circuit. The two screen saving images are thereby coordinated to create what appears to be a single screen saving display.

  • Publication number: 20050191357
Abstract: A strong pressure and a strong shearing force are exerted to a mixture, constituted of two kinds or more of powder materials including a drug powder, while causing the mixture to pass between a press section (26) of a press head (24) and a receiving surface (25) of a cylindrical rotator (23), thereby combining the drug powder with the other powder material. For example, at least one of a drug and a biocompatible polymer is made into a nano particle whose average particle diameter is less than 1000 nm, and the nano particle is made into a composite in accordance with a dry mechanical particle combining method, so as to form a polymer nano composite particle. Thus, it is possible to produce a composite particle, which contains a drug under a stable condition, in a short time, and it is possible to remarkably improve its handling property without losing advantages of the nano particle.

  • Publication number: 20050168876
Abstract: In formation of an upper shield of a magnetic thin film head by electroplating, a current density of electroplating is regulated stepwise with time. Thus, in the upper shield formation, a film composition and magnetic characteristic with respect to the direction of film thickness can be controlled precisely, making it possible to provide a magnetic thin film head featuring significantly reduced noise-after-write and output fluctuation.

  • Publication number: 20030164673
Abstract: A method and system for applying adhesive to a transparent, anti-reflective panel for a Cathode Ray Tube (“CRT”) include applying adhesive only around an outside perimeter of the panel. Preferably, the adhesive is only applied in the outermost perimeter of the panel which corresponds to the outer perimeter of the display surface of the CRT which is beyond the useable area of the display surface, i.e., where no portion of the images displayed extend. Thus, the adhesive will hold the transparent panel to the display surface of the CRT, but will not collect dust and other contaminants that will be trapped over the useable display area of the CRT. Additionally, the panel, with adhesive only around its perimeter, will be relatively easy to remove from the CRT for salvage and reclamation purposes.

  • Patent number: 6268892
Abstract: An anti-reflective film laminated on the display surface of a cathode ray tube which is not prone to pealing with age includes an extension on each of the four sides of the main film surface. The extensions from the main anti-reflective film surface are preferably rectangular and can be wrapped around the sides of the cathode ray tube adjacent to the display surface. A heat shrink band is then constricted around the cathode ray tube to fix the anti-reflective film in place. Strips of conductive material on the extensions of the anti-reflective film can be electrically connected to grounding electrodes on the heat shrink band to allow for the dissipation of static electricity which tends to accumulate on the anti-reflective film. With the heat shrink band securing the anti-reflective film in place over the display surface over the cathode ray tube, the anti-reflective film is not prone to pealing or separation from the display surface of the cathode ray tube.

  • Patent number: 5331211
Abstract: A circuit for controlling the actuation of a vehicle air bag system includes a two terminal electrically actuated ignition element connectable to a drive voltage line through a first transistor and to a circuit ground through another transistor. The voltage source includes the vehicle battery and a capacitor that is charged by the vehicle battery and which supplies operating power in the event the vehicle battery is removed from the circuit, for example, as a consequence of a collision. The transistors are normally biased to a non-conducting state sufficient to isolate the ignition element from the drive voltage source and circuit ground. Vehicle acceleration is sensed by an acceleration sensor which, in the event of a collision, biases both transistors into conduction to effectively connect the two terminals of the ignition element to the drive voltage line and to ground to actuate the vehicle air bag.

  • Patent number: 5268643
Abstract: An apparatus for failure identification suitable for determining between existence and nonexistence of failure of the squib in occupant protecting system. The first terminal voltage generated between both the terminals of the squib when the first monitor current is passed through the squib, and the second terminal voltage generated between both the terminals of the squib when the second monitor current is passed through the squib. The first and second terminal voltages are amplified by the differential amplifier circuit into the first and second differentially amplified voltage. Thereafter, the difference between the first differentially amplified voltage and the second differentially amplified voltage is calculated to obtain the monitor voltage difference and it is compared with the reference voltage, and thereupon, decision between existence and nonexistence of a short-circuit in the squib is made.
