  • Patent number: 5971068
Abstract: A combination of setting a correction value of an atmospheric temperature for each temporal section in response to a predicted value of a variation of the atmospheric temperature in a day and a delayed variation of a temperature of hydraulic oil due to thermal inertia and correcting a command value for a temperature regulation of the hydraulic oil at a supply source of the hydraulic oil in response to the correction value of the atmospheric temperature, performing a feed forward compensation of the temperature of the hydraulic oil with respect to the variation of the atmospheric temperature for the day as a cyclic period, permits a working body of hydraulic oil to be kept at an adequate temperature, even under working conditions subjected to significant influences of atmospheric temperature variations and thermal inertia.

  • Patent number: 5599108
Abstract: In a static pressure table device wherein an annular recess is formed in one of confronting surfaces of a stationary bed and a rotary table thereon, and static pressure oil is supplied to the recess for rotatingly support the table on the bed, a static pressure gap formed between the confronting surfaces of the bed and table is constructed to gradually or stepwisely increase toward the outer periphery of the device. As a result, the viscosity resistance of the pressure oil is decreased toward the outer periphery and heat generation is reduced in the outer peripheral region, whereby a uniform temperature distribution of the table becomes possible with resultant reduced thermal deformation of the table so that the table can be rotated at high speed.

  • Patent number: 5476137
Abstract: A control system for effecting ultra-precision temperature control for a controlled system having large load fluctuations or including a dead time component. A control unit (5) instructs a high-precision PID temperature controller (10) to renew and correct a control target value T.sub.0,NEW for the supply fluid temperature T.sub.0 only by a temperature difference .DELTA.T=T.sub.C -T.sub.2 between a set value T.sub.C for the return fluid temperature T.sub.2 of a heat transfer fluid and the actually controlled return fluid temperature T.sub.2. In response to the instruction, the high-precision PID temperature controller (10) controls the heating power of a heater (17) for heating control through a constant-power thyristor phase controller (16). The heater (17) heats the heat transfer fluid and sends it to a machining apparatus (1) through a closed damping tank (21). The heat transfer fluid exchanges heat with the machining apparatus (1) and is then returned to a precooling means.

  • Patent number: 5343797
Abstract: A cylinder device which is capable of restraining the total length thereof to a shorter length even when the stroke is made longer, and which thereby provides the compact appearance and layout of, for example, a machine tool, in which the cylinder device is used. The cylinder device includes a first cylinder provided with an extensible piston rod. The piston rod is constituted as a cylinder tube of a second cylinder. The extensible piston rod of the second cylinder is formed in the interior thereof with a flow path for guiding a working fluid into a cylinder chamber of the second cylinder constituted by the piston rod of the first cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5238340
Abstract: The invention relates to improvements in a tilting mechanism for a saddle swivel head for a double housing type machine tool. The saddle swivel head 13 is provided at the sides thereof in the tilting direction with hydraulic cylinders 18R, 18L, to which is connected a hydraulic piping system 19 for giving swivel balancing pressures and back pressures when the swivel head 13 is tilted by a predetermined angle by a tilting driving mechanism. The saddle swivel head 13 is tilted while providing swivel balancing pressures to the hydraulic cylinders 18R, 18L, and after tilting the head by the predetermined angle, back pressures are applied to the hydraulic cylinders 18R, 18L to compensate for a tilting moment of the saddle swivel head 13.

  • Patent number: 5053973
Abstract: In an apparatus for correcting deflection produced in a construction due to the weight of the construction or movement of a movable member supported by the construction, a condition data representing the deflection associated with the moved position of the movable member is stored in a memory section of a correction controller. The movement of the movable member is detected by a position detector and a position signal is generated from the position detector. A command signal is supplied to a calculator and the position signal is received in the calculator synchronized with the command signal. The condition data is accessed by the calculator with the received position signal and is processed into a correction data. A correction data is supplied to a proportional control electromagnetic valve and a hydraulic cylinder for applying a force onto the construction is regulated by the valve to correct the deflection of the construction.

  • Patent number: 4544198
Abstract: An automotive vehicle has a single integral door opening on each side of the door body. The door opening is closed by a pair of front and rear doors which are slidable along the vehicle side to open and close the door opening. The rear edge of the front sliding door and the front edge of the rear sliding door directly oppose each other without a vehicle body pillar therebetween. The opposing edges of the sliding doors have seals for water-proofing. Also, the upper edges of the sliding doors sealingly contact seals mounted on vehicle side frames extending along upper edge of the door opening for water-proofing. Guide rails slidingly supporting the sliding doors are mounted on the side frames in such a manner that they serve to reinforce the side frames. Lower seals are provided between the lower edges of the front and rear doors and the lower side frames for establishing water-tight seal therebetween.
