Patent number: 9346442Abstract: When a brake switch is switched from OFF to ON, current is applied to a brake ECU, and a command to switch a master cylinder from a second state to a first state is issued after a lapse of preparation time, so that switching-time change suppression control is performed. A reservoir shutoff valve is closed, and duty control is performed on a communication control valve. The duty ratio is set to 1 when a switching-time control duration expires, and the communication control valve is placed in an open position, to establish the first state. Thus, since the communication control valve is duty-controlled during switching from the second state to the first state, change in the hydraulic pressure of an input chamber is suppressed, and change of the operating feeling is suppressed.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2013Date of Patent: May 24, 2016Assignees: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHA, ADVICS CO., LTD.Inventors: Yusuke Kamiya, Akira Sakai, Kiyoyuki Uchida, Masaki Maruyama, Yoshio Masuda, Hiroaki Niino, Takashi Kurokawa

Patent number: 9076925Abstract: A thermoelectric material includes a semiconductor substrate, a semiconductor oxide film formed on the substrate, and a thermoelectric layer provided on the oxide film. The semiconductor oxide film has a first nano-opening formed therein. The thermoelectric layer has such a configuration that semiconductor nanodots are piled up on or above the first nano-opening so as to form a particle packed structure. At least some of the nanodots each have a second nano-opening formed in its surface, and are connected to each other through the second nano-opening with their crystal orientation aligned. The thermoelectric material is produced through steps of oxidizing the substrate to form the semiconductor oxide film thereon, forming the first nano-opening in the oxide film, and epitaxially growing to pile up the plurality of nanodots on the first nano-opening.
