  • Patent number: 8460073
Abstract: In an air conditioning case of an air conditioner, an air mixing chamber, a warm-air bypass passage, a first warm-air passage and a second warm-air passage are provided. The warm-air bypass passage is located in a part of space, in which the air mixing chamber is provided, and the second warm-air passage is located at an opposite side of the first warm-air passage with respect to the air mixing chamber. The warm air flowing in the warm-air bypass passage makes a U-turn at the second warm-air passage and flows toward the air mixing chamber. Therefore, in the air mixing chamber, the cool air is inserted between the warm air from the first warm-air bypass passage and the warm air from the second warm-air passage, from two sides of the cool air.

  • Publication number: 20050012833
Abstract: The present invention provides an image capturing apparatus capable of properly zooming in on a main subject without performing complicated framing. A digital camera having an electronic zoom function has an external passive type distance detector for obtaining two-dimensional distance detection information. The two-dimensional distance detection information obtained by the distance detector is used for an auto-focus control of the digital camera. Further, the two-dimensional distance detection information is also used for detection of a main subject in an image capturing area. The digital camera specifies the position of the main subject by using the two-dimensional distance detection information and moves the center of the partial area to be extracted in the case of generating a pseudo zoom image toward the specified position.

  • Patent number: 6215961
Abstract: A camera including a first and second luminance detector, a distance detector and a calculator. The first luminance detector, having a first spectral sensitivity and receiving light from a larger region of a photographing view, generates a first luminance information. The distance detector, having a second spectral sensitivity and receiving light from a smaller region of the photographing view, generates a distance information concerning a distance to an object. The second luminance detector generates a second luminance information based on the received light of the distance detector. The calculator calculates a control luminance value for exposure control based on the first luminance information and the second luminance information when the first luminance information is above a predetermined threshold value. In addition, the calculator calculates a control luminance value based on the first luminance information when the first luminance information is below the predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 5805939
Abstract: A camera has a variable focal length lens and a viewfinder system whose magnification is variable in accordance with the focal length of the lens. A line array sensor generates an electrical signal in accordance with the intensity of the received light. A distance measuring optical system, which transmits light from a photographic object to the sensing elements of the sensor, has an optical axis which is different from the optical axis to the viewfinder system. A designator designates a particular sensing area, corresponding to the focal length of the lens, over the sensing elements of the sensor. A first distance data generator generates first distance data based on electrical signals generated by the sensing elements within the designated sensing area, and a second distance data generator generates second distance data based on electrical signals generated by the sensing elements outside of the designated sensing area. A discriminator discriminates whether the first distance data generator is operable.

  • Patent number: 5721977
Abstract: A distance measuring apparatus includes a pair of line sensors. An image of an object is projected on the line sensor through a lens. The distance up to an object is measured according to the object image in the line sensor. The line sensor includes a plurality of pixels (CCD). The time period for respective pixels to complete charge accumulation with the pixel first completing charge accumulation as the pixel of quantizing reference becomes the data for the respective pixels. In the present invention, the range of pixels used for quantizing reference is altered according to variation in the focal length of the lens. The operation of distance measurement is terminated when charge accumulation for all the pixels within the range of the integration completion determination ends. The range of integration completion determination is altered according to the focal length, the measured brightness value and the shooting mode.
