  • Patent number: 9827789
Abstract: An inkjet printing method is provided. A smear-free printed matter superior in glossiness can be obtained. The inkjet printing method includes: a second ink layer forming step of discharging a second ink on a first ink layer formed on a recording medium and drying the discharged second ink, and a third ink layer forming step of discharging a third ink on the second ink layer and drying the discharged third ink. A drying time during the second ink layer forming step is shorter than a drying time during the third ink layer forming step.

  • Publication number: 20170001449
Abstract: The present invention suppresses variation in dot diameter. An inkjet printing apparatus performs control such that, in outward-way illumination intensity which is the illumination intensity of light to be radiated from an irradiating unit 11A onto ink ejected from a nozzle n on an outward way, and homeward-way illumination intensity which is the illumination intensity of light to be radiated from an irradiating unit 11B onto ink ejected from a nozzle n on a homeward way, the illumination intensity for which a time from when ink lands on a medium M to when the ink is irradiation with light is longer is higher than the illumination intensity for which the time is shorter, and the diameters of dots fall within a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 9114640
Abstract: The problem addressed by the present invention lies in obtaining printed material having higher brightness using an ultraviolet-curing metallic ink. In order to solve this problem, the printing method includes: an ink ejection process, in which an ultraviolet curing type metallic ink including metal particles is ejected on a recording medium, and the recording medium is swelled by the metallic ink, soaked with the metallic ink, or dissolved by the metallic ink; a leveling process, in which the metallic ink on the recording medium is leveled; a temporary curing process, in which ultraviolet rays are irradiated to the metallic ink on the recording medium to cure in such a degree that the metallic ink is not completely cured; and a main curing process, in which ultraviolet rays are irradiated to the metallic ink on the recording medium for curing after the temporary curing process.

  • Patent number: 8915585
Abstract: A printing apparatus, including: an ink jet head for ejecting ink droplets of an ultraviolet curing type ink toward a medium; a temporary curing ultraviolet light source; an irradiation setting storage section which stores ultraviolet irradiation settings of ultraviolet rays from the temporary curing ultraviolet light source to the medium; and a curing completion ultraviolet light source being for completing curing of the dots of the ink, is provided. The ink jet head performs a printing by a multi-pass method. The ultraviolet irradiation settings are set so that, regarding temperature of the region where the ink jet head ejects ink droplets in each main scanning operation in the multi-pass method, an increasing range of temperature compared with temperature at a timing of the last main scanning operation is suppressed within a temperature rising range which dot gains of the dots of the ink are substantially the same as each other.
