  • Publication number: 20040205685
Abstract: In a routing method of the present invention, the load of a CAD tool can be reduced and signal lines can be easily shielded by using the CAD tool with the reduced load. By using existing power-supply/ground lines as shield wiring, a specific signal line to be protected against crosstalk is provided while being shielded. A program related to grid definition in the existing CAD tool is changed so as to dispose each grid line between the power-supply and ground lines, and then shield wiring of the specific signal line is performed. Then, another signal line is freely provided in a routing area or routing layer.

  • Patent number: 6529211
Abstract: A method and apparatus for selectively scaling portions of image data based on the intensity levels of historical image data. The selective scaling, or level expansion, provides improved images by increasing or decreasing the intensity of a portion of image pixels. Black level expansion reduces the intensity of dark pixels and is appropriate when a relatively large number of the image pixels have a high intensity level. White level expansion increases the intensity of bright pixels and is appropriate when a relatively large number of image pixels have a low intensity level. Level expansion is implemented by using histogram comparators 402 to compare the intensity of each pixel with a threshold, typically on a frame-by-frame basis. When an adequate number of pixels in each frame meet the threshold criteria, the level expansion is increased. Field accumulator 404 is used to determine whether and by how much the image data is scaled.

  • Publication number: 20020085720
Abstract: A license managing system includes a game apparatus to be licensed and a managing apparatus. The managing apparatus includes an inputting device, an encrypting device for encrypting information inputted from the inputting device to produce encrypted information, and an outputting device for outputting the encrypted information. The encrypting device encrypts at least identification information of the game apparatus to be licensed and license condition information thereof to produce the foregoing encrypted information. The game apparatus includes an inputting device for inputting the outputted encrypted information, an encryption decoding device for decoding the inputted encrypted information, and a controller for controlling execution of a game program. The game apparatus further includes a storing device for storing identification information of the game apparatus, and a storing device for storing internal information.

  • Patent number: 6320620
Abstract: A television system (10) with interlaced to progressive scan conversion. The system receives interlaced television signals then converts them to progressively scanned data using either field differencing, enhanced field differencing, frame differencing or other temporal processing depending upon which implementation is used. The implementations used depend upon which configuration of the system (10) was purchased, and can be changed with an upgrade to the more expensive implementations.

  • Patent number: 5079654
Abstract: A disklike record medium such as a magnetic data storage disk, and a closed-loop servo control system for positioning a transducer such as a magnetic read/write head on any of a multiplicity of concentric tracks on the record medium. The tracks on the record medium are divided into a plurality of groups, and each track of each group has a different code character prerecorded thereon as in the form of discretely magnetized regions. All the groups of tracks have the same set of code characters assigned thereto for the simplicity of the code characters. Read by the transducer, the code characters enable the control system to individually identify all the tracks of all the groups. In response to an externally supplied track command indicative of a destination track on which the transducer is to be positioned, and to internally supplied track code data, the control system causes translation of the transducer from a departure track to the destination track during track seek operations.
