  • Patent number: 7203370
Abstract: An image signal processing apparatus includes two JPEG codecs. A plurality of frames of image signals periodically input from a multiplexer are individually compressed by the two JPEG codecs, and the compressed image signals are recorded on a hard disk by an HDD. Furthermore, the plurality of frames of the compressed image signals reproduced from the hard disk are individually expanded by the two JPEG codecs, and the expanded image signals are output to a monitor. Herein, each of the JPEG codecs selectively executes individual compression of the plurality of frames of the image signals and individual expansion of the plurality of frames of the compressed image signals. A CPU makes the JPEG codecs perform the compression process prior to the expansion process.

  • Patent number: 7146052
Abstract: A surveillance camera system includes a multiplexer. The multiplexer successively selects image data output from each surveillance camera one by one so as to input the selected image data to an image recording apparatus. The image data input to the image recording apparatus is subjected to a compression process by a compression expansion circuit and then, recorded on a hard disk. The compression process is performed on the basis of a reference coefficient stored in a management list within a memory. It is noted that a value capable of the image data to be compressed up to a size within a target range is set as a reference coefficient in an initialization process by a CPU. Furthermore, the reference coefficient is sequentially renewed by the CPU at a recording process.

  • Patent number: 5764169
Abstract: An encoder includes a control bit insertion circuit (12) for inserting a control bit into input data, which is then subjected to I-NRZ modulation by a precoder (14) to generate a reference code. The reference code is given to a 4-code generation circuit (22) through a delay circuit (16), and frequency components of the reference code, and first, second and third codes generated on the basis of the reference code are detected by a frequency detector (18). The frequency components are given to a judge circuit (20) such that it is determined whether the frequency components are large or small. A judge signal is applied to the 4-code generation circuit and a frequency detector from the judge circuit. The 4-code generation circuit selectively outputs one selected from the reference code and the first to third codes on the basis of the judgement signal.

  • Patent number: 4841381
Abstract: A still reproduction controlling circuit for controlling a motor driving a tape at a low speed includes a noise detector for detecting a state in which a reproduction output is falling in an FM brilliance signal, a reference pulse generator for generating a reference pulse of a predetermined width corresponding to the vertical blanking period, in response to a head change over signal, a discriminator receiving outputs from the noise detector and the reference pulse generator for outputting a stop motor control signal to stop the driving of the motor when the output of the noise detector signal coincides with the reference pulse, to drive the noise band into a vertical blanking period, and an error operation preventer connected to the noise detector and receiving the head change over signal, for outputting an error prevention signal to the discriminator in response to detection of noise coinciding in time with the reference pulse, such that the stop motor control signal from the discriminator is inhibited.

  • Patent number: 4570876
Abstract: A device for use in a tape driving apparatus for detecting the tape end made of transparent material, comprising means for generating signals consisting of a first output and a second output having a delay time behind the first output, a device for emitting light upon the existence of the second output, a sensor for receiving the light emitting from the light emitting device through the tape end of transparent material, and a discriminating means for controlling, by means of the first output, the output supplied from the sensor during the existence of the second output, whereby the tape end is correctly detected without causing trouble in connection with extraneous light to be introduced from the outside.
