  • Patent number: 5148429
Abstract: A voice data transmission system and method which can reduce transmission delay time and can remove unnatural conversation in a received voice signal due to the truncation of a head part of the voice signal. The signal transmission side of the voice data transmission system, when a voice detection signal is generated, continuously transmits, at a transmission rate faster than a usual transmission rate, a first voice data block at the time of generation of the voice detection signal as well as voice data blocks which are followed by the first voice data block and which correspond to a time duration from the generation time of the voice detection signal block to a predetermined time. In a voice detection mode, the data transmission side subjects voice data to a block formation operation and, after the block formation is completed, transmits the voice data block.

  • Patent number: 5103196
Abstract: A microstrip line having a shortened line length, includes at least one conductive wire connected between two desired points of a strip conductor through a medium having a second dielectric constant which is smaller than a first dielectric constant. The strip conductor is formed on a substrate which has the first dielectric constant. The effective length of the microstrip line is therefore shorter than the physical length of the microstrip line.

  • Patent number: 5045997
Abstract: The efficiency of a processor in which a packet is stored in a receiver buffer, processed in a central processing unit, and sent out via a transmitter buffer, is low. According to the invention, data is transferred to a high-speed memory via the receiver memory. When the high-speed memory is filled with data, the data is processed by the CPU, and the packet is transmitted from the high-speed memory via the transmitter memory. A competition control section is provided to control data accesses in the sequential operation.

  • Patent number: 5032913
Abstract: An object being frame-sequentially illuminated by beams of illumination light in different wavelength ranges is imaged by an imaging element of an electronic endoscope. A time-serial image signal is subjected to signal processing to display a color picture on a monitor screen. A relative movement between the object and the imaging element is detected by a movement detecting circuit to reduce color smear produced by the relative movement in a motion picture of the object displayed on the monitor screen.

  • Patent number: 5028494
Abstract: An aluminum composite material as a brake disk material for railroad vehicles is obtained by dispersing and mixing reinforcement particles of alumina, silicon carbide or the like into an aluminum alloy. The reinforcement particles are 5 to 100 .mu.m in diameter, and are dispersed uniformly in the alloy in an amount of 1 to 25% by weight. An extremely excellent brake disk material for railroad vehicles is thus provided which is light in weight and has high strength, good thermal conductivity and high wear resistance.

  • Patent number: 5003533
Abstract: In the maintenance of a ring-type local area network, the physical number, physical addresses and connection sequence of nodes in the network can be readily made known without need of any management by system control personnel. To this end, a frame which can be discriminated only by the immediately succeeding station is used, and own addresses are successively set in an information field of the frame to convey the status of physical connection to the succeeding stations.

  • Patent number: 5000427
Abstract: The present invention relates to an injection material for the hot repairing of a blast furnace and an injection method of applying the same. An injection material comprising a refractory material, which was previously adjusted in particle size, a binder, a hardening agent and a hardening-accelerator is fed to a pressure pump having a mixing function and applied to a portion to be repaired of a blast furnace with mixing in said pump. Thus, since the hardening ingredient is not added until the pump portion, the workability of the repair material can be secured in of a blast furnace to be repaired, said injection material being mixed in said pump. Thus, the injection repairing of the blast furnace can be achieved without being influenced by an atmosphere within the furnace.

  • Patent number: 4999596
Abstract: A strip-type second-harmonic-choking filter is constituted such that a main transmission line, through which a fundamental frequency wave is to be transmitted, is connected with first and second stub. The first stub exhibits a first susceptance value for the fundamental frequency and exhibits a subtantially infinite admittance value for a second harmonic of the fundamental frequency, on one side of said main transmission line. A second stub exhibits a second susceptance value which is essentially a conjugate of the first susceptance value for the fundamental frequency and exhibits an infinity or zero admittance value for the second harmonic frequency, at an opposite side of the transmission line from the first stub. For the fundamental frequency wave, the two stubs cancel the effects of each other so that no effect is given on the transmission of the fundamental wave, while one or both of the stubs choke the transmission of the second-harmonic wave.

  • Patent number: 4943541
Abstract: Glass ceramics used as dental material, artifical bone, etc. which contain 0.01 to 25 parts by weight of alkali metal oxides (R.sub.2 O), such as Li.sub.2 O, Na.sub.2 O, K.sub.2 O, Rb.sub.2 O, and Cs.sub.2 O, in 100 parts by weight of CaO-Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 -P.sub.2 O.sub.5 system material. During the casting for obtaining the glass ceramics, the molten fluid is sufficiently distributed to the fine corners of a mold, and the temperature for crystallization is low. Also, the time required for the crystallization is short and the crystalline formed shows no internal defects, and has high bending strength.

  • Patent number: 4916474
Abstract: A camera having a CPU reset function. The CPU has an on state in which a reference clock is supplied to maintain the CPU in an oscillating state, and an off state in which the oscillation is stopped. When the on and off states are changed over by an external switch, a reset signal is generated to reset the CPU. Even if the CPU makes a runaway which cannot be noticed form the outside, the CPU is necessarily reset in response to the changeover operation of the external switch.

  • Patent number: 4847610
Abstract: When a trouble occurs on a transmission line, each station transmits a predetermined frame to the adjacent station. The station which does not receive the frame outputs to the adjacent downstream station a frame instructing that its primary output be looped back to its secondary input. The information transmission trouble is removed by arranging the responses to the frames by the respective stations and the transmission procedure.
