  • Publication number: 20040254261
Abstract: To provide a one component dental composition in which a polymerzable compound having an acidic group is coexisted with a reducing agent such as a tertiary amine under the existence of water, and which is not cured with time during preservation, the dental composition comprises the polymerlizable compound having an acidic group, the reducing agent, water and an aluminum oxide powder, wherein it is preferable that 0.4 mol equivalent or less of the acidic group of the polymerizable compound having the acidic group and 0.05 mol equivalent or less of a reduction part of the reducing agent are contained per 100 m2 of a specific surface area of an aluminum oxide powder and that 5 to 35 weight parts of the polymerizable compound having the acidic group, 0.1 to 5 weight parts of the reducing agent, 10 to 55 weight parts of water, and 0.1 to 5 weight parts of the aluminum oxide powder are contained.

  • Patent number: 6660194
Abstract: A process for preparing a dental prosthesis is disclosed, including preparing a wax pattern of an objective dental prosthesis based on a duplicated model having an intraoral shape, investing the wax pattern in an investment material, and removing the wax pattern to prepare a mold, wherein a composite resin is charged under pressure into the mold, and the composite resin is cured under heat and pressure, the process of the present invention enables one to obtain a dental prosthesis that has suitable esthetics and superior mechanical properties and free from fear of pulp irritation by the unpolymerized monomer, and particularly suitable for the preparation of inlays, crowns, etc.
