  • Patent number: 6419778
Abstract: A composition containing thermoplastic elastomer and elastic fine particles is extruded into a sheet-like shape from an extruder. Then, by expanding this sheet-like shape member, a covering sheet having minute unevenness attributable to the elastic fine particles formed on the surface is produced. The covering sheet may have an adhesive layer, a substrate layer, a foamed resin layer, etc., on the opposite side to the surface having a matt feeling. Such covering sheet can be produced with good productivity without creating environmental problems such as a problem related to solvent, etc. By molding using the covering sheet, a molding having matt feeling can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 5354397
Abstract: According to the present invention, a surface of a molding is provided with soft touch feeling by making a sheet for covering a substrate having a soft touch layer adhere to the surface of the molding. A covering film having soft touch feeling can easily be formed even on surfaces of products with unevenness and curves. This sheet for covering a substrate has a soft touch layer formed from a resin composition containing at least one substrate selected from the group consisting of elastic beads and a porous inorganic material, and a urethane resin as its main components. This sheet is placed in a mold and a resin is molded in the mold, whereby a molding having soft touch feeling can be obtained. The sheet for covering a substrate has extensibility and is not likely to be broken during the molding.

  • Patent number: 5312868
Abstract: A thermosetting covering sheet comprising an unhardened or semihardened layer made of a thermosetting resin composition is provided. The thermosetting resin composition comprises, as main ingredients, a reactive acrylic resin, which is in a solid state at ordinary temperatures, and a blocked isocyanate, the reactive acrylic resin containing a plurality of at least one kind of functional group selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl, amino, and carboxyl, and the weight average molecular weight of the reactive acrylic resin being in the range of 100,000 to 1,000,000.
