    Abstract: A formed cutter 1 has on its tip side a blade 2 having a spiral cutting part 6 and a spiral flute 8 alternately disposed and rotating around a rotation axis O to perform cutting. The formed cutter 1 is manufactured by forming a depression 6B and a projection 6A with different diameters on a blade forming part 12, forming the spiral flute 8 on the blade forming part 12, and forming a rake face 4 on a side fall of the spiral flute 8 by bringing the grinding tool 18 in line contact with the side wall of the spiral flute 8 along a depth direction of the flute 8 while rotating the grinding tool 18 around its axial center.
