  • Patent number: 7476091
Abstract: A power blower has a body having a fan housing for accommodating a fan, the fan housing having an upper portion, a lower portion opposite to the upper portion, and a pair of support portions extending from the upper portion. A driving machine is mounted to the fan housing for driving the fan. A discharge duct is mounted to the fan housing for discharging a current of air produced by driving of the fan. A pair of legs is disposed at the lower portion of the fan housing to enable the body to stand alone on a surface. A main handle having a structure separate and independent from the fan housing is removably connected to the pair of support portions of the fan housing. An auxiliary handle is integrally formed with and disposed between the pair of legs. The auxiliary handle has a holding edge aligned with a central extension line of the main handle.

  • Patent number: 7300243
Abstract: A power blower has a fan housing, a blowing fan accommodated in the fan housing, a drive source for driving the blowing fan, an operating handle connected to the fan housing for gripping by an operator of the power blower, and at least one vibration damping member interposed between the operating handle and the fan housing. The vibration damping member has resiliently deformed protruding portions contacting an inner peripheral surface of the operating handle so that vibrations in three directions, passing from the drive source and blowing fan to the fan housing, are absorbed by resilient deformation of the protruding portions to thereby suppress vibrations passing via the fan housing to the operating handle.

  • Publication number: 20050123410
Abstract: A portable power blower including a fan housing containing a fan is provided. A main handle is provided on an upper surface of the fan housing, and a pair of legs is formed on a lower surface. Between the pair of legs, an auxiliary handle is integrally formed with the legs. When the power blower is turned horizontally for use, the power blower is supported with both hands, with the main handle gripped with one hand and the auxiliary handle held with the other hand.

  • Publication number: 20050123393
Abstract: In a power blower, an operating handle is fixed on a fan housing via a damping mechanism resiliently supporting the operating handle in such a manner as to permit displacement of the handle with respect to the housing in three directions: axial direction of a discharge duct; and two directions perpendicular to the axial direction. The mechanism includes first and second shaft sections extending from the housing, first and second cylindrical mounting sections formed on the handle, damping members each fittingly interposed between one of the mounting sections and one of the shaft sections and having protrusions contacting the inner peripheral surface of the mounting section. Each of the mounting sections fits the outer peripheral surface of the damping member without interfering with the shaft section. Retainer member is provided at the distal end of each of the shaft sections for holding the damping member.
