  • Patent number: 7274135
Abstract: A deflection yoke includes ferrite core, horizontal deflection coil, vertical deflection coil, and insulating frame for insulating the horizontal and vertical deflection coils. The deflection yoke has a cross section that satisfies the following A to C. A: A plurality of magnetic substance convex portions projecting toward the tube axis are provided in the vicinity of a position of an inner surface of the ferrite core where a vertical axis crosses. B: Assuming that a minimum value among distances between the respective magnetic substance convex portions and a funnel is D1, the distance between the ferrite core excluding the plurality of magnetic substance convex portions and the funnel is larger than the distance D1 at any point of the ferrite core. C: A part of the vertical deflection coil is wound in a groove between the plurality of magnetic substance convex portions.

  • Patent number: 7157998
Abstract: A ferrite core constituting a deflection yoke has a plurality of ridge-shaped convex portions on an inner circumferential surface. In a cross-section orthogonal to a center axis, the cross-sectional shape of an outer circumferential surface of the ferrite core is substantially circular, and the cross-sectional shape of an inner circumferential surface of the ferrite core excluding the convex portions is substantially circular in the vicinity of an end on a large diameter side of the ferrite core and is substantially rectangular in a portion between the vicinity of an end on a small diameter side and the vicinity of the end on the large diameter side. This can provide a low-cost color picture tube apparatus with a reduced deflection power and satisfactory productivity.

  • Publication number: 20050162059
Abstract: A deflection yoke includes a ferrite core, a horizontal deflection coil, a vertical deflection coil, and an insulating frame for insulating the horizontal deflection coil from the vertical deflection coil. The deflection yoke has at least one cross section orthogonal to a tube axis that satisfies the following A to C. C: Apart of the vertical deflection coil is wound in a groove between the plurality of magnetic substance convex portions.

  • Patent number: 5932959
Abstract: A deflection yoke for a cathode ray tube can correct both the pincushion distortion at the upper and lower edges of the screen and the misconvergence of the screen at the same time by the deflection yoke itself without the need for a correction magnet. The deflection yoke comprises a saddle shaped horizontal deflection coil, a saddle shaped vertical deflection coil located outside the horizontal deflection coil, and a high permeability core located outside the vertical deflection coil. The core has notch portions at the center parts of the upper and lower portions of the screen side end.

  • Patent number: 5923131
Abstract: A compensating device for raster distortion is provided, which can compensate a raster distortion, preferably including an inner pincushion distortion, by a simple and inexpensive configuration. The compensating device comprises an electromagnet and a pair of permanent magnets. The electromagnet is disposed outside of a deflection yoke and at a center portion of a side of a beam-deflection area, and generates magnetic poles in the direction along the side. The pair of permanent magnets are disposed beyond the ends of the side, and generate magnetic poles aligned with the magnetic poles of the electromagnet.
