  • Patent number: 6958557
Abstract: In a rectifying device of a vehicle ac generator, a positive-side radiating fin and a negative-side radiating fin are arranged to oppose each other in an axial direction and a terminal board is interposed therebetween. One of the fins, which is directly fixed to a frame, is substantially in an arc shape having a circular arc angle of equal to or more than 180 degrees and separated into two partial radiating fins at a substantially middle part in a circumferential direction. Each of the partial radiating fins has two fixing portions near its radially outer end. Screws are inserted into the fixing portions and tightened to threaded holes provided in the frame to fasten the rectifying device to the frame. Instead of separating the fin into the partial radiating fins, a groove is provided on a surface of the fin.

  • Patent number: 5903083
Abstract: A rotor of an alternator which is composed of a Lundell type core has a wire wound spirally around the rotor. The wire binds the claw poles at equal intervals from the tip to the base of each claw pole, thereby restricting the radial expansion of the claw poles due to centrifugal forces. The wire is made of a non-magnetic material, and is received in grooves formed on the outer circumferential surface collectively formed by the claw poles.

  • Patent number: 5796201
Abstract: In a rotor of an AC generator for a vehicle, a coil bobbin, around which rotor coil is wound, includes a bobbin body having a first through hole at a winding drum portion and is made of hard resin. A first hole member is kept at the first through hole and is made of good thermal conductivity rubber. An outer peripheral layer is formed integrally with the first hole member and is made of good thermal conductivity rubber covering the outer peripheral surface of the winding drum portion. An improved rotor of an AC generator for a vehicle is provided, in which a regular winding property of the rotor coil is improved and at the same time, heat of the rotor coil can be more effectively radiated to the rotor core side so that generator output can be improved.
