  • Patent number: 7244139
Abstract: A plug body is adapted to be fitted into a socket body in a first direction, and formed with a groove extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. Each of plug contacts has a first contact piece and a second contact piece opposing to each other with a gap therebetween. The plug contacts are arrayed such that the first contact piece and the second contact piece are disposed in the groove. Each of projections is extended from the first contact piece so as to oppose the second contact piece, and is formed with a slant face so that a thickness thereof is reduced toward a distal end thereof. The slant faces of the projections form V-shaped lines when the projections are viewed from the first direction.

  • Patent number: 7207829
Abstract: A plug member includes a plug body formed with a groove, and a plurality of plug contacts, which include contact pieces which are opposed to each other and fitted into a socket body. The contact pieces are disposed in the groove and on an outer face of a side wall of the plug body. A plurality of core conductors covered with an insulating sheath include a portion adapted to be inserted into the groove. A pressing member has a first part attached to the plug body such that the first part is inserted into the groove, thereby pressing the portion of the wiring member against one contact piece. The contact pieces are resiliently deformable, so that a first blade portion bites into the corresponding core conductor in the portion of the wiring member, and the portion of the wiring member is resiliently clamped between one contact piece and the first part of the pressing member.

  • Patent number: 6210193
Abstract: The card reader connector for a SIM card comprising an insulative body and a cover pivotably mounted on pivot pins of the insulative body for movement between an open and closed position wherein contact portions of terminals mounted in the insulative body electrically connect with contacts of the card when the cover is in the closed position. The cover is slidably movable in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the pivot pins. A locking means is provided between the cover and the insulative body comprising an L-shaped engaging piece on the insulative body and a corresponding actuating piece on the cover which interengage when the cover is in its closed position to lock the cover to the insulative body. A leaf spring biases the cover in a direction away from the insulative body. The connector is characterized in that when the cover is moved to its closed position, it is slidably moved rearwardly, toward the axis of the pivot pins, to produce a spring force.

  • Patent number: 5954537
Abstract: The flexible flat cable has an insulating base film, at least two sets of conductor groups and an insulating cover layer for covering the conductor groups. An end of the cable has, on one surface thereof, conductor contact areas formed by directly and partially exposing conductors of the conductor groups or partially exposing conductor area electrically connected to the conductors. The conductor contact areas are aligned along the width of the cable for each conductor group. The connector for connecting the cable has a connector body and a retainer plate and pinches the cable between the connector body and the retainer plate and contacts the conductor contact areas of the cable to the corresponding contacts on the opposite sides of the connector body to make electrical connection therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5911597
Abstract: The present invention relates to a connector for flexible conductive line components suitable for a lower mounted profile in a device mounted on a printed circuit board. The connector comprises a metal plate, resilient spring portions, and connection terminal portions wherein the resilient portions, which allow the metal plate and individual contacts to accommodate and clamp a inserted flexible printed circuit parallel with respect to the printed circuit board, are disposed such that the lengthwise spring extension thereof lies in the parallel direction, leaving the height unaffected. The metal plate further comprises a substantially U-shaped transverse cross section which affords both a low mounting profile and a stable connection that experiences minimal bending.

  • Patent number: 4531792
Abstract: In an IC connector for connecting lead terminals of an IC package of the dual in-line type to terminals of a circuit board, first grooves and first projections are formed on two surfaces of a slide body. The main body has two walls each of which has a surface which has a plurality of second grooves and which opposes at least one surface of the slide body. One end of each connecting terminal is inserted in each second groove. The other end of each connecting terminal extends through each second groove to be connected to a predetermined terminal of the circuit board. The slide body is supported by a supporting means such that the slide body may be movable between a first position and a second position along the direction of arrangement of the second grooves. When the slide body is in the first position, the first and second grooves define gaps therebetween into which or from which the lead terminals may be inserted or removed.
