Abstract: Methods and systems for managing the operation of data processing systems are disclosed. A data processing system may include a computing device that may provide computer implemented services. To provide the computer implemented services, hardware components of the data processing system may need to operate in predetermined manners. To manage the operation of the hardware components, the data processing system may heat them when their temperatures fall outside of thermal operating ranges. To manage the hardware components when heating is unavailable, the data processing system may proactively heat them to elevated goal temperature ahead of periods of time when heating is unavailable.

Abstract: A method for dynamic immutable security personalization for enterprise products. Specifically, the disclosed method describes how a computer processor (e.g., baseboard management controller) of an enterprise product can personalize security requirements in trusted facilities, along the supply chain route of the enterprise product, so that trusted assumptions concerning the enterprise product can be made. Further, through dynamic immutable security personalization, these trusted assumptions are allowed to change over time (e.g., from being less restrictive to more restrictive) as changing enterprise product configuration states are captured while the enterprise product traverses the supply chain route.

Abstract: An information handling system may include a host system, a management controller configured to provide out-of-band management of the information handling system, and a network interface controller including a network interface controller storage resource. The management controller may be configured to: receive, from the host system, a first identifier that is specific to an operating system (OS) of the host system; compare the first identifier to a second identifier provided by the network interface controller, wherein the second identifier is specific to an OS of the network interface controller that is stored on the network interface controller storage resource; and in response to a mismatch between the first identifier and the second identifier, prevent the network interface controller from operating.
